Aveiro "The Portuguese Venice" and The "Friendship bonds bridge": Situated over the Cojo Channel, this bridge was born after two students tied ribbons to the bridge as a symbol of love and friendship. Also known as The Bridge Of Lovers is now full of ribbons that are signed and tied with love❤️ 😊.

A twig had just been delivered and then the mating ritual continued with the banging of beaks.
From 'Sciencing' - Great blue herons don't mate for life, but they do have elaborate courtship rituals that help pairs form strong bonds. Their mating displays include bill snapping, neck stretching, moaning calls, preening, circular flights, twig shaking, twig exchanging, crest raising and even bill duels. Scuffles over females are common, but never end in death. Once their complex dance is finished, the male and the female heron will have the strong bond necessary to raise their hatchlings together.

The three peaks of the Bonds, Mount Bond, West Bond, and Bondcliff, are among the most remote of the 4000er's (there are 47 mountains in New Hampshire above 4000 ft.). This one is Bondcliff. They are located in the heart of the Pemigewasset Wilderness Area. Count on an overnight backpack trip to visit them.
Coventry is a town with a long history but if you visit the city you are struck by how modern the city centre looks. This was entirely due to massive air raids on the city in 1940. In one night in November 1940 more than 4,300 homes in Coventry were destroyed and around two-thirds of the city's buildings were damaged. Most of the city centre was destroyed. As well as two hospitals, two churches including the cathedral . Given the devastation it is surprising that a few of the original historic buildings survived . The image shows the fifteenth century Bonds Hospital. This rather fine building bow offers sheltered housing for older people . The image makes this building look quite rural but it sits very close to the city centre

Crested Caracara Pair - I turned down a sideroad exploring a bit and came across these two. I was surprised to see the two of them sitting so close together.
The behaviors of caracaras are considered quite strange in relation to those of other falcons. The bird is often seen walking on the ground in search of prey. In addition to a preference of walking over flying, the birds also create close bonds with their mates. Caracaras are territorial creatures who are year-round landlords of trees and land that they occupy.

The gannet colony at Point Danger in Portland, Victoria, is Australia's only mainland breeding colony of Australasian Gannets. This colony is a direct result of a population overflow from the much larger & long-established nesting site on Lawrence Rocks, a small offshore island just 2km away.
Gannets collect seaweed primarily as a foundational building material, with males diving into the shallows to retrieve seaweed that the pair then weaves together with earth, guano (bird droppings), & debris into a sturdy, cup-shaped mound. The seaweed also acts as a vital insulator to protect the single egg from the elements during incubation, while the act of presenting these offerings as gifts to their partner at the nest serves as a crucial social ritual that reinforces lifelong pair bonds & helps the birds claim their territory within the crowded colony.
