A perfect moment of harmony—this Tiger Longwing butterfly delicately perched on a vibrant marigold. Nature’s palette never ceases to amaze. 🌼
Yesterday afternoon I took my bike and camera and went into the woods near my house in hope to find some mushrooms. Well there was not much to be found. I took a string of tiny lights with me because I saw a video of Daan de Vos were he used them to create a bokeheffect. I was struggeling with my sx because the effect is totally different from a DSRL. Back home I was not satisfied at all so I used the blur effect in filterstorm again and this is the outcome. I can live with this and hope you like it to allthough its not straight out of the camera :-)

Hypolimnas bolina, also known as the great eggfly, common eggfly, or blue moon butterfly in New Zealand, rests gracefully on a vibrant green leaf.
A lone sunflower basking in gentle light, framed by the soft blur of summer’s stillness.
A golden face turned to the light,
Soft petals bathed in amber bright.
The world behind—a gentle blur,
As silence hums where breezes stir.
A red dahlia flower.

In some cultures, it is used in rituals and traditional medicine.
In West Africa, a variety of Celosia (Celosia argentea) is also a valuable leafy vegetable, appreciated for both its beauty and nutrition.
Boldness and Passion: With its fiery colors and dramatic form, the cock’s comb symbolizes bold beauty, passion, and individuality.
Resilience: Often blooming in tough conditions, Celosia represents strength and endurance.
Marbles for Macro Mondays, borrowed from a friend, placed on a black pizza plate, Villeroy & Boch, series Manufacture Rock. For the light sun, through a metal plate for grilling.
The main challenge, was to place the marbles onto to the plate, somehow equidistant from each other, in a straight line, put no parallel to the lens, to get some dept of field. Last but the grill plate into a magic clamp, adjust the plate for the right hot spot, camera to tripod and take some photos.
If you look carefully, there are different reflections and hot spots on the marbles.

The distance between observer and subject narrows to almost nothing—a rare and intimate encounter with a European adder, captured at ground level along Lårdalsvegen in Telemark. The shallow depth of field isolates the head, drawing attention to the intricate patterning, glossy scales, and the unmistakable gaze that meets the lens head-on.
Everything outside the focal plane dissolves into softness, heightening the tension of proximity. This is not a scene of movement, but of awareness—a moment where both photographer and animal pause, sharing space for a brief second. The composition strips away context and centres entirely on presence, turning a potentially ordinary wildlife observation into something deeply personal and quietly intense.
Fun fact: The European adder (Vipera berus) is the only venomous snake species native to Norway, but bites are rare and typically occur only if the snake feels threatened or disturbed.
the soft light of the scene highlights the details of its plumage and accentuates the contrast between the delicacy of the little raptor and the silent majesty of the surrounding forest.
la luce morbida della scena mette in evidenza i dettagli del piumaggio e dà risalto al contrasto tra la delicatezza del piccolo rapace e la maestosità silenziosa del bosco che lo circonda.

Soft pink petals unfold under the gentle April sun, a fleeting moment of beauty captured in full bloom. Japanese cherry trees, or sakura, symbolize renewal and the transient nature of life. In Norway, these blossoms are a rare spectacle, painting the landscape with delicate hues that mark the true arrival of spring.
Fun Fact
Cherry blossoms have a very short blooming period—often just one to two weeks—making them a global symbol of impermanence and appreciation for the present moment.
