Dolomiti Orientali - Il Piz Boé (mt. 3142 - ft 10342) visto da Porta Vescovo (versante del vallon Fedaia opposto alla Marmolada)

Il Viel dal Pan è un sentiero tracciato sul costone opposto alla Marmolada, utilizzato in passato per il trasporto di viveri tra le diverse località del posto.
Mie diapositive scattate nell'agosto del 1990.

The Viel dal Pan is a path traced on the ridge opposite the Marmolada, used in the past to transport food between the various localities.
My slides taken in August 1990.
This idyllic mountain lake is situated at 2252 metres in a deep natural basin surrounded by the rugged cliffs of the Sella Group. It has got a circular shape and seems to have no inlets or outlets. The lake can be reached from the top station of the Boé cable car.

La parte finale della pista Boè, una rossa fantastica. Sulla sinistra la costruzione a triangolo della stazione della cabinovia e, di fronte, il profilo maestoso del Sassongher. Nel mezzo l'abitato di Corvara in Badia in veste natalizia.

Kallisto and I were celebrating 11 months together at club E-co tonight...had an awesome time with all of our friends!
Boe got teamed up on by Kurvy and myself...she took the snaps of Boe the Beautiful and I couldn't resist compiling them into one single piece of pure awesomness!

Tras el día de la Constitución, el día 8 constituye el segundo festivo del 'puente de diciembre' en España.
Su origen está en la tradición católica y mariana de España, que ha establecido como día festivo inalterable la festividad de la Inmaculada Concepción de María para conmemorar la defensa del Estado español del dogma inmaculista.
Después de siglos, el Gobierno continúa declarando este día como uno de los nueve festivos del año en el BOE.
Pero, ¿qué significa el dogma de la Inmaculada?
Un dogma significa un asunto incuestionable dentro de cualquier fe y que está demostrado que se produjo. Por su parte, la Inmaculada Concepción no hace referencia a la virginidad de María sino a que fue concebida sin pecado original, aquel que según la doctrina eclesiástica tienen todos los cristianos desde Adán y Eva.
Su origen es antiguo aunque cobró más importancia a partir del siglo IX.
Durante estos siglos, la Iglesia Católica estuvo dividida entre maculistas e inmaculistas; es decir, entre detractores y defensores del asunto. Tras años de tenso debate -que comenzó con la defensa del concilio de Toledo en el año 646-, en 1854 el papa Pío IX proclamó el dogma de fe católica la Inmaculada Concepción de María en la bula Ineffabilis Deus.
¿Por qué es fiesta en España?
El Estado español se ha caracterizado durante siglos por su férrea defensa del dogma inmaculista.
Monarcas y arzobispos han sostenido que María fue concebida sin pecado original.
La leyenda cuenta que en 1585, durante la Guerra de los Ochenta Años, los Tercios españoles consiguieron sobreponerse de una complicada situación en la batalla después de rezarle a una imagen de la Inmaculada que apareció en uno de los barcos.
La Inmaculada Concepción es además Patrona de España, de la Infantería Española y de la Guardia Civil.

I "BOES E MERDULES" sono maschere tipiche del carnevale di Ottana, un paesino in provincia di Nuoro da cui dista poco più di 20 chilometri, all'inizio della valle del Tirso e ai margini della Barbagia di Ollolai.
Col nome “merdules” si indicano, in generale, tutte le maschere ottanesi. Il “merdule” vero e proprio porta la maschera umana, il nome (è solo un’ipotesi) si suppone che abbia origine nuragica: mere = padrone e ule = bue; quindi padrone del bue. “Sos boes” portano la maschera taurina che presenta decori e ornamenti realizzati con lo scalpello e il coltello; la figura del toro, antica divinità punico – nuragica, simbolo di forza vitale è sempre presente nella civiltà dell’intero bacino del Mediterraneo, “su boe” rappresenta l’animale che si ribella al padrone: inizialmente il suo passo cadenzato dà un particolare ritmo ai campanacci ma poi crea scompiglio tra la gente e si scaglia contro il merdule, suo padrone e domatore, che con il bastone “su Mazuccu” o una frusta di cuoio “sa Soca”, cerca di riportare l’ordine. Sia i boes che i merdules vestono pelli di pecora integre di vello e portano in viso maschere di legno fatte di pero selvatico dette Carazzas (cara, in sardo, significa viso). I boes portano sulla spalla un fitto grappolo di campanacci dette sas sonazzas o su erru, i merdules a differenza dei boes, non portano campanacci. Esiste anche una figura femminile “sa filonzana”, che rappresenta una donna triste che fila la lana col fuso;
Tutti temono e rispettano questa figura perché tiene in mano il fragile filo della vita che potrebbe recidere in qualsiasi momento, cosa che non accade mai….

La stella che viene scolpita sulla fronte del "BOE" era di buon auspicio mentre per la figura del pastore "SU MERDULE" detto anche "SU GOBBEDDU" (il gobbo) si tendeva a farla il più possibile brutta e deforme in modo da far paura anche al diavolo e cosi allontanare le sfortune della vita.
Sempre presente nelle sfilate è la maschera della "ILONZANA". Raffigura una lugubre vecchietta, gobba anche lei, che va in giro per le vie del paese tutta vestita di nero. E' sempre intenta a filare la lana e minaccia di tagliare il filo che pende dalla conocchia, se non le si offre da bere. Il filo di lana rappresenta la vita di chi le sta di fronte.

2nd Surf shot from Byron Bay.. was getting a bit crowded by now, alot of locals turning up for the low tide action...
This was Boe's last wave before he came in.. the path from the car park to the beach is thick grass... when Boe was walking back a HUGE snake slid across his path...he made me walk in front on the way back up the cliff..
After Lennox we went back into Byron... I shopped around for a new surfboard and also needed a new wallet.. but couldn't find anything at the right price.. We got back in the car around lunch time and headed back South....

It's like Christmas here! First Martha, Brannigan and a Dalek arrive, thanks to my beloved Syrtis, then today, the Doctor regeneration pair and the Face of Boe! WOOT!
Tennie Who and Eccie Who love the Face of Boe, and they're not afraid to show it.
I know it looks like Boe is the one needing the cheering up in this pic... but usually it's the other way 'round.

A campaign to prevent the Chamber of Deputies vote a project to reduce the legal reserve of the Amazon is being conducted by Greenpeace with support from other civil society organisations. The PL 6424/2005, called "Forest 0", reducing the reserves of the Amazon legal private property from 80% to 50% and allows an offset deforestation in different areas of the originals. The text, authored by Senator Flexa Ribeiro (PSDB-PA), also opens space for the planting of so-called energy plants (such as palm, castor bean, babassu and sugar cane).
