Here in the Boston area we're preparing for a major snow storm bringing up to a foot of snow. It should begin tonight around 10pm and continue all night.

Boardwalk access to Sheringham wood for those less able to walk the other paths.

Pretty Corner is a beautiful 165-acre patchwork woodland and heathland, which forms part of a larger network of woods and heaths. Together they stretch along the 10-mile Holt to Cromer ridge within the North Norfolk area of outstanding natural beauty.

A boardwalk down the hillside through autumn colours.

A couple of Wily Coyotes have been seen recently in the Marina Spit area. In this shot I wanted to include some habitat, so I got on my knees, used fill flash, and captured a portrait of this healthy looking one.

The Okarito Boardwalk curves are a nice feature. The designers could have made a straight path, but chose to add this lovely curve.

Parks Canada’s Point Pelee National Park is the southernmost part of mainland Canada extending for 15 kilometres into Lake Erie. About 70 percent of Point Pelee is composed of marsh. The marsh boardwalk is a wooden walkway that loops through part of this marsh land allowing trekkers an opportunity to explore the broad biodiversity of this national jewel.

This boardwalk takes you through about a quarter of a mole of wetlands in Yankee Springs, Michigan.

There are these boardwalks along a nearby lake and I have long since wanted to go there to try out some classic style long exposures. This is one of the ones I think works best from the day.

Take a little stroll down the boardwalk on Mackinac Island and enjoy one spectacular sunset. Hold hands with someone as you walk, and it will be even better!
