Are we going to the beach?
Is there some heat to find?
If we're going to the beach
I'll let you blow my mind
It was quite a breezy day and I have to do a bit of anticipation in trying to capture this constantly moving Fuchsias. In addition, with the sun appearing and disappearing it was a hit and miss affair as far as trying to get the right exposure ! This was the best after countless clicks!

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be dig back into my files and share some of the photographs I have not posted, like this one from almost a year ago. It was a busy evening on the Detroit River looking down river. The Canadian Steamship Lines ship Tadoussac was unloading at the port of Windsor, while on the other side of the river, in west Detroit, U.S. Steel’s Zug Island facility was chugging away. The slow shutter speed created an interesting blurred effect of the ship blowing off steam, as the blast furnace of the steel mill’s stacks released smoke.
Wise man said just walk this way
To the dawn of the light
The wind will blow into your face
As the years pass you by
Hear this voice from deep inside
It's the call of your heart
Close your eyes and you will find
Passage out of the dark
Here I am (Here I am)
Will you send me an angel
Here I am (Here I am)
In the land of the morning star
The wise man said just find your place
In the eye of the storm
Seek the roses along the way
Just beware of the thorns
Here I am (Here I am)
Will you send me an angel
Here I am (Here I am)
In the land of the morning star
Wise man said just raise your hand
And reach out for the spell
Find the door to the promised land
Just believe in yourself
Hear this voice from deep inside
It's the call of your heart
Close your eyes and you will find
The way out of the dark
Here I am (Here I am)
Will you send me an angel

My favorite wild flower (I think 1 of many different types of Aster) and changing leaves. Does it get any more beautiful. Park across the street is covered with these beauties. Happy Day.

"You’re my favorite,” he said offhand.
“Favorite what?” she wondered aloud.
“Oh, well,” he stammered. “Well, just that. My favorite pair of eyes to look into. My favorite name to see appear on my phone. My favorite way to spend an afternoon. Fill in the blank, Beautiful…I left it at favorite for a reason.”
“You’re my favorite too,” she whispered."

This is to show you that, during low tide, swimming is not dangerous, as you can see there are many children in the water. My first day in Recife, seeing that there was not enough sea inside, I dived and swimmed beyond the barrier, I did not know that there could be sharks, I've been lucky. During my many holidays in Recife nothing serious has ever happened in this part of the beach, but, a few hundred meters from me, once a shark attacked a bather (during high tide) and another time some bathers managed to "beach" a shark and then kill it with blows with wooden and iron sticks

"I'm comin', baby
I'm gunnin' for you, yeah
Locked, loaded, shoot my shot tonight
I'm comin', baby
I'm gunnin' for you
Pull my trigger, let me blow your mind"

Soulis: The Answer, My Friend, Is Blowing in the Wind ... . Two people on this planet have received both an Oscar and a Nobel prize: Bob Dylan and George Bernard Shaw. Thank you.
I was watching my Buddleia swaying in the breeze and wondered if I could capture the sense of movement without loosing too much structure. It was a lot of trial and error with camera speed, and the changing speed of the wind added to the experimentation!! So this is a single image, 1.3 seconds (not multiple exposures).
It was a calm and cold morning which was perfect for blowing frozen bubbles. I've yet to capture the "perfect" frozen bubble so there will be more to come as I pursue the elusive photo in my head. I'm going to mix up a different batch of solution to see if the crystals form differently with other sugars like honey, corn syrup, table, etc.
The windmills are the quintessential features of Mykonos landscape. There are plenty of them that have become a part and parcel of Mykonos. Visitors to Mykonos can see the windmills irrespective of the locale. From a distance, one can easily figure out the windmills, courtesy of their silhouette. They are primarily concentrated in the neighborhood of Chora and some are also located in and around Alevkantra. These innovative wheels were primarily used for crushing agricultural yields. In all, there were 16 such windmills in operation.
They are conspicuous by their snow-white color, spherical shape with the customary pointed roof made of the finest variety of wood. In the good old days, they were wind operated as Mykonos is renowned for their gusty wind, which continues to blow even today. The Windmills of Chora and the ones at Ano Mera were a great boon to the people of those localities and they were primarily used for grinding the agricultural products that were meant to be transported to places outside Mykonos.
As of now, with the advent of modernity, the windmills are no longer operational. But they continue to be a symbol of Mykonos rich virile past. Being hundreds of years old, most of the windmills have been thoroughly renovated and some have even been converted into museums, the most famous being the Bonis Windmill.
Mykonos windmills are a living testimony of the island's use of innovation when it came to tapping the enormous power of the wind to grind Mykonos agricultural produces.
