This wonderful blouse was made in the Nahua community of Buena Vista, Acaxochitlan, Hidalgo state, Mexico. The green panels are hand embroidered and the red areas were embroidered using a sewing machine. From an exhibition of crafts and textiles from Hidalgo at the Museo de Arte Popular in Mexico City, Mexico

I'm a little flat chested here. Unfortunately larger breastforms will not fit with the blouse.

This Maya woman is wearing a new style (last 4 years, or so, according to women in Oxchuc, Chiapas) of blouse which has short, puffy sleeves and bands of hand embroidery around the neckline and the sleeves. I saw similar blouses (in many colors) for sale in the Oxchuc market as well as in stalls alongside the highway from Oxchuc to Ocosingo. This photo was taken in Altamirano, a bustling town that is a commercial and administrative center for Tseltal and Tojolabal Maya people
