Filter Topaz Impressions 2 / Texture by studio romy (via oscraps.com)

Week 208 in Poetography... A weekly Inspiration. My chosen word/theme this week is Patience

The leaves are stamped on cream tissue paper and cut out. It takes a bit of patience - but it helps cutting in more layers :-) The stack of maple leaves reminds me of childhood walks in the woods - I always made little bouquets of leaves like that...

The vertical autumn stamping was to "pick up" on the stripes of the pp :-)

It is one of the shares from the C2C bloghop hosted by Juniper & Oakes.

I used the Rico Design Ricorumi Spin Spin DK, really great to work with. I used the Classic Rainbow for it.

The icord is not in the pattern, but with my walkies with doggie I like to put my cellphone and keys in a purse. The tutorial is from Nicole Riley.

For the backgrounds I stamped the image with Versamark on white cardstock and coloured over it with chalk pastels. The dragonflies are from the Hero Arts Digi Kit Winged Friends. I printed them out onto transparency sheets and added co-ordinating glitter glue to them for some subtle sparkle.

My inspiration is from the cards on pg 64 that have one big and colourful image with a simple sentiment.

I don't keep a blog, but wanted to participate in the Cards for Heroes Blog Hop! If you happened upon my post by chance, you'll want to start at the top of the hop to make sure you see all the wonderful submissions. Plus, you'll get to take advantage of some great blog giveaways as you make it through the entire hop! :)

This is my first experience with Cards for Heroes, and I'm sure it won't be my last; I decided to make a "miss you" card because I understand these cards to be in high demand by our military heroes... I hope to contribute many more to the almost 141,000 cards that have been sent to our heroes to date! Yeah!

Thanks for stopping by on this first CFH Blog Hop! Your next stop is Melissa's blog here! She's got some neat paper bag albums on her blog as well. :)

My art is infused all over the house. i have a little spot in my room where i make jewelry. I have a small studio across from my bedroom where i do painting, mixed media and mosaics. i also have a section downstairs where i do my sewing and always host workshops. so you see, my creative environment is all around me.

see more of my life at www.lemoncholys.blogspot.com

My first attempt using musical background cling stamp :) i think i really love this stamp, it works for any occasion, and never regret buying it

I also use walnut stain distress ink to create the ink effect, and because i dont have lighter colour, i blend it with dessert sand memento ink (which works great) :) thanks for viewing
