I got the chance to hear Gayla Trail, author of "You Grow Girl," speak during the crafty blogger session. I had my book signed and my picture taken. Not bad!

I am obsessed about capturing every space that I am in. Also I do capture performances or spaces on request for a project. I upload the best of the captures on to FLICKR. From these I select a few to write my blogs about the experience, introspection, learning etc. I also use for executing projects in education, performing arts etc.

I create an annual calendar as a tribute to Indian dance and music

So these select captures showcase the broad perspective and spectrum.

Mosaic Fountain - Helen's Park - Braeswood Place - Houston TX

Here I am with my crew, deadheading to Al Udeid Air Base. We're on the ground at Ramstein AB, Germany and I'm all thumbs pecking out an email to my blog.

Vi samlade ett gäng Blogg100-deltagare på Intellecta Corporates kontor i Stockholm och firade att vi kommit halvvägs.

Neo II water soluble pastels

Last week I had a College student stay with me as she was exploring God's

possible plans for her as a missionary in Japan. In the time I took her to

Kobe for a Culture Plunge.

As I was exploring all of there popular tourist attractions on the internet,

I stumbled upon Suma Beach!

Since The Kansai Area is a bay I didn't think that any beaches existed. So

Suma Beach was a wonderful find!

So last Monday we trained down to Kobe to check out the beach. The Beach all

in itself is not spectacular, but It was just enough to remind me of God's

Love for me. Those who know me well know that I love the Ocean! Not only did

we see the beach and walk in the sand, we treated ourselves to a few hours

at the Suma Aqua Life Park. They had Dolphins! The LORD is good.

There is something about the area of Suma that caught my attention. Suma

station is 2 stops from Sannomiya (Central Kobe). The area near the beach is

very unique and I have found myself day dreaming about the area of Suma all

week. It is so interesting how we see things, and even places when we are

looking through God's eyes. For example, Takino is not a very attractive

Town all in it's self, but God has given my His eyes for this town and I

love it like I would if I were living in Paradise. So exciting to think of

all the places that the Lord might call me to. I know that no matter where I

am He will give me His eyes to see the need and the beauty and the area that

He created for His glory to be seen.

I wrote a long blog post on how depth of field works with my new TTV set-up and this is just an excuse to link to it.

Would be very interested in other TTV photographers views.

Mmm. Ryper med tilbehør er så godt!

At the bottom of the pic is the flooring choice. This is set in stone- haha,

I am using Travertine that I am in visual lust with. The subtle color

nuances and gentle organic swirls thrill me to no end. I asked DH if he was

in love with it as much as I, and he said, "I don't think that's possible,

though I do like it" or something close to that.

Moving up is the tile that is a darker gradation. I am using the art

principles of value, being the lightness and the darkness of an object and

giving the lower portion of the tile, which will be above the bathtub a

darker color than the rest. There will be a well-proportioned amount of that

tile, about a 1/3 ratio, then the scrolly transitions, then the glass tile

motif, and more scrolly transitions, then above that a lighter tile color.

This way the heavier color is at the bottom since it has more weight than

the lighter color which will be at the top.

So the voting is for the glass tile motifs, as I have selected the flooring

and the other 2 main tile colors. I don't want it to be too busy, but I

don't want it to be to boring/safe. I want it to be artsy but relaxing. DH

likes symmetry, as do I.

So, cast your votes!!!!

1, 2, or 3!

This is amazing- they made coconut covered fried shrimp from scratch, with

made from scratch peanut dipping sauce, coconut spoon bread, saffron rice,

and mango fruit salsa, I made 2 desserts. My first ever pie crust for a

strawberry rhubarb custard pie, and my first cobbler, peach and blueberry

(fruits from my in-laws in WI's nearby farmer's market).

The pie crust recipe- Mark Bittman, of course

Pie recipe- Joy of Rhurbarb (or something like that)

Cobbler- Eating Well magazine

I was inspired to make the pie from reading about pie and crust making on

another blog I read, First Position. A friend told me about it. The writer

has a little boy similar in age to Noah.

All turned out really well, and tasty.
