Doll I knitted for a gift! It's a representation of the character "Elvira" from Noel Coward's play Blithe Spirit which I was in last month (and also in high school, incidentally, as the same character).
Blithe Spirit, by Noël Coward, directed by Tom Sainsbury
This Noël Coward comedy classic tells the story of suave novelist Charles Condomine and his second wife, Ruth. They invite local medium, Madam Arcati, to conduct a séance to inspire him for his next novel. The evening doesn't go as planned, and the sceptical Charles is reunited with the ghost of his first wife, Elvira. Only he can see Elvira and she doesn't take kindly to Ruth having usurped her. Attempts by Madame Arcati fail to return her to the “other world”, and Elvira’s spirit transforms the lives of Charles and Ruth forever.

This is the other side of the stick puppet -- he' s happy now!
The puppet looks a little weird in this picture because I had to tilt it a bit to keep the camera flash from obliterating its face.
Oh, the purple shirt. Rob actually has a bright purple Western-style shirt with mother-of-pearl snaps and floral embroidery. It's pretty frickin' cool, and so distinctive I had to recreate it for the puppet.
