Was not satisfied with the color version also that bending poppy bud is distracting and it would have been a cleaner composition without it. So I was deleting the image when I thought "let me try to do some more edit through aviary". So I opted for de-saturation but tones where to much cold/grey/metallic so I added some warmth then I added some sharpness and blemish the image to have the poppy to pop out more. All this to try to have the bud poppy to not distract to much and let the eye to concentrate on the main poppy. It's a try, a test and I'm not sure I managed to get the desired result. I like the detail/focus of petals and the tones though. What do you think? Fell free to come with your opinion.

The dusk sunbeams shining through the trees with a lonely robin catching the last evening rays and warmth perched on a branch of a tree which when you look closely has cobwebs connecting the branches.
(Mareca strepera) I think gadwalls are very pretty ducks. ( By the way those blemishes are not sensor dust - it's a cloud of midges :D)
2023 Indoor project No. 2 Focus Stacking, 5 exposures in "Focus Shift Shooting" with my Nikon D850. With thanks to WalrusTexas for helping me go down the learning curve. No the blemishes are not all mine, most of them are the blueberries'.
Project No. 1 if you are interested was "capturing light refraction through liquid backlit by an iPad." with thanks to Marianna A. for demonstrating the technique. It is fun, suggest you try it when snowed in.
Despite the many tomatoes hanging on the vines, there are only a few that the chipmunks and squirrels left us with. But they had a lean summer when we had little to offer them by way of cherries or nuts. So we are glad to see them happily helping themselves to the home grown, organic tomatoes. What is left is not nicely round or red, but do well in stews and pasta source.
Because of chia seed shortage, my favourite bakery will no longer offer our usual chia seed fruit bread every Wednesday which we normally savour over a week. This is the very last loaf they sold yesterday - a historic moment that has to be captured. May peace prevail and Daily Bread returns among many more important things.
It was a day of sunshine and showers (mainly the latter) with the wind coming from the North. The lens was getting covered in raindrops every time I tried to take an image and I needed a few to stitch together to get the full rainbow. Eventually I managed a few shots that only needed a few blemishes removing in Lightroom.

The worst restoration project so far. Crayon all over the cardboard mount, a blemish on the slide and a hole possibly made by a pencil.
I enjoy seeing railways, real or model, so I didn't throw this out but it was a close thing.
I was lucky that the blemish and the hole were in the top right of the image I could clone out, but the colours were so bleached that I had to convert it to monochrome.
The line has long been electrified and it's single track now.

The creepy skin I am wearing by Go&See is hauntingly beautiful. The skin is washed in a pale white and darkness that is visible at the most opportune positions. Sunset mirrored in a gravel pond at Sawhill Ponds open space. The only blemishes in the water surface came from hatching insects and fishing lures. The crepuscular rays line up with the sun’s point of departure on the horizon. A few of the high peaks of the Indian Peaks are visible on the left. This week I’ll be backpacking not far from those peaks, so will not be able to fav and comment your photos, but look forward to catching up when I get back.

Oil on water provides for soothing abstracts ... The blemishes are from the dirt trapped along with the oil.
If you like islands, Gweedore in County Donegal has an abundance. In this snap you can see at least five: Inishirrer, Inishmeane, Gola, Owey and Arranmore.

Sitting creek side, I almost fell in a few times trying to get close enoug. Have so so equipment so I need to get close for half decent shot. I know some would edit the water blemishes but it is how I saw it. Happy Day (;-D

Richmond, Virginia, taken from the Robert E. Lee bridge that crosses the James River.
Richmond is a large, progressive and modern city. Like other cities, it is proud of its efforts to revitalize poorer areas, it's attention to arts, modern hospitals and its canal walk along the James River. But Richmond also has a problem unlike other cities. History buffs will remember that Richmond was the capital of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. The smaller buildings in the foreground are Tredegar Iron Works (Manufacturer of most of the cannons for the South) and a Civil War Museum. What once was a proud tradition, and a large tourist attraction is slowly becoming a blemish that is best not remembered, sometimes torn down and often erased.
This fruiting fungus looks like an orange octopus with all those fleshy orange arms. Following a spring shower, they "bloom" from a gall that formed two years ago on the cedar tree branch. Spores can carry on the wind for several miles to infect an apple tree where they blemish the leaves with orange spots and cause premature leaf drop.

Citrus Fruit Piercing Moth on our Orange Tree.
"Fruit-piercing moths are a persistent threat to any gardener with beloved fruit trees or ripening produce. They feed on the sweet juices, leaving behind unsightly wounds that invite rot, disease, and other pests. The damage can range from cosmetic blemishes to complete fruit loss, making it a real headache for fruit growers."
This daisy was part of a bouquet purchased at Trader Joe's. It wasn't clear until I unwrapped them at home that most of the flowers were way past their prime. So, in the original image, the daisy had many blemishes, but I liked the light, and felt the image was salvageable, so committed to the laborious process of removing many of the blemishes one by one.
