Nur 10 Minuten später als das vorige Bild das ich gestern bei Flickr hochgeladen hatte, änderten sich die Farben so sehr, dass die Umgebung viel heller und sichtbarer wurde. Nebel, Gräser, Raureif, Bäume und Berge bleiben erhalten. Viel Spaß beim betrachten.
Only 10 minutes later than the previous image I had uploaded to Flickr yesterday, the colors changed so much that the surroundings became much brighter and more visible. Fog, grass, hoarfrost, trees and mountains are preserved. Have fun.

Seulement 10 minutes plus tard que l'image précédente que j'avais téléchargée sur Flickr, les couleurs ont tellement changé que l'environnement est devenu beaucoup plus lumineux et plus visible. Le brouillard, l'herbe, le givre, les arbres et les montagnes sont préservés. Amusez vous bien

Der Basstölpel hat sich erst 1991 auf Helgoland als Brutvogel angesiedelt, inzwischen brüten über 1000 Paare im Lummenfelsen und auf der Langen Anna. Sie sind von März bis September am Lummenfelsen anzutreffen, die letzten Jungvögel verlassen die Klippen Anfang bis Mitte Oktober.
Basstölpel ziehen im Winter in mildere Gebiete. Außerhalb der Brutzeit findet man sie auf dem Atlantik, dem Mittelmeer bis hin nach Westafrika. Einige Exemplare bleiben jedoch auf der Nordsee.
The gannet first settled on Helgoland as a breeding bird in 1991, and now over 1000 pairs breed on Lummenfelsen and Lange Anna. They can be found at Lummenfelsen from March to September, with the last young birds leaving the cliffs in early to mid-October.
Gannets migrate to milder areas in winter. Outside the breeding season, they are found on the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and as far north as West Africa. However, some individuals remain on the North Sea.

The hectic week is over and the hectic christmas time is still laying ahead of us. This is the right moment just to stop. For the reflection, we are always wishing each other during the holiday season and for what we empirically will not have much time then.
Why not here and now ? Simply stopping, focusing the view inwards and appreciating ourselves. Breathing deeply, enjoying the silence and refuelling power. So that with what lies ahead of us, there is enough energy to take care of us and our loved ones.
Die hektische Woche ist vorbei und die hektische Weihnachtszeit liegt noch vor uns. Genau der richtige Zeitpunkt um einmal anzuhalten. Für die Besinnung, die wir uns an den Festtagen immer wünschen, und für die dann erfahrungsgemäß nicht viel Zeit bleiben wird.
Warum also nicht jetzt gleich ? Einfach stehen bleiben, den Blick nach innen wenden und sich selbst wahrnehmen, durchatmen, die Stille geniesen und Kraft tanken. Damit bei dem was vor uns liegt genügend Energie vorhanden ist, um für uns und unsere Lieben zu sorgen.

Ich hole den Sommer zurück, jetzt, da wir alle zuhause bleiben sollen.
I'm getting the summer back, now, that we are all supposed to stay at home.
Now that we're in Bavaria, let's just stay another day and go back to Schwangau to see the beautiful chapel of St. Coloman and the dreamlike panorama of the snow-covered Alpine peaks.
Normally, if I can, I avoid including a road in a landscape shot (there is also a version where I did this). But in this case I was too taken with this slightly twisted tree with its filigree crown. He just had to be in the picture.
Wo wir nun mal in Bayern sind, bleiben wir doch einfach noch einen Tag und gehen nochmal nach Schwangau zur schönen Kapelle St. Coloman und dem traumhaften Panorama der verschneiten Alpengipfel.
Normalerweise vermeide ich, wenn es sich vermeiden lässt, eine Strasse mit in eine Landschaftsaufnahme zu integrieren (es gibt auch noch eine Version, wo ich dies gemacht habe). Doch in diesem Fall hatte es mir dieser leicht verdrehte Baum mit seiner filigranen Krone zu sehr angetan. Der musste einfach mit ins Bild.

We are staying in the woodlands but we move two month down the memory lane.
I was brought to that spot by my instinct. I was on a business trip, on my way home. Here, I passed the region Franconia’s Switzerland. After the road was leading through fog shrouded woodlands for quite a while I felt, that I have to stop over for a little excursion through unknown terrain. I'm very glad I gave in to the feeling.
That's why I always have my camera with me.
Wir bleiben im Wald und gehen jedoch zwei Monate zurück in die Vergangenheit.
An diesen Ort, hat mich mein Gefühl gebracht. Ich war auf einer Dienstreise, auf dem Weg nach Hause. Dabei kam ich auch durch die Fränkische Schweiz. Nachdem die Strasse einige Zeit durch Nebel verhangene Wälder verlief fühlte ich, dass ich meine Reise unterbrechen und eine kleine Exkursion auf unbekanntem Terrain einschieben muss. Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich dem Gefühl nachgegeben habe.
Genau deswegen, habe ich immer meine Kamera dabei, wenn ich unterwegs bin.

A landscape straight out of a dream (a nightmare for some). An expanse without any clear structure. Most of it is hidden under dense fog or behind a brilliantly bright horizon. It's a vision of a journey. The departure into the unknown.
How many of us are waking up drenched in sweat at such a thought of uncertainty and ignorance and how many energized and ready for action? How many are standing rooted to the spot or turning away in horror, and how many are setting out to discover something new?
There is neither right nor wrong at this point. It's all about recognising and accepting others and ourselves. Exactly as we are and where we are standing.
Eine Landschaft wie aus einem Traum (für manche ein Alptraum). Eine Weite ohne klare Struktur. Das Meiste liegt verborgen unter dichtem Nebel oder hinter einem strahlend hellen Horizont. Es ist die Vision einer Reise, der Aufbruch ins Unbekannte.
Wie viele von uns wachen bei solch einem Gedanken von geballter Unsicherheit und Unwissenheit schweißgebaded auf und wie viele voller Energie und Tatendrang? Wie viele bleiben wie angewurzelt stehen oder wenden sich voll Grausen ab und wie viele machen sich auf Neues zu entdecken?
Es gibt an dieser Stelle weder richtig noch falsch. Es geht einzig darum andere und uns selbst wahrzunehmen und anzunehmen. Genau so, wie wir sind, genau da wo wir stehen.

Such a dull day as today is the right moment to bring some colours in the game. Thats why I show You again a picture from my rape-field-period. In this case You see a much wider look and mt. Lilienstein (right side) what used to be so present suddenly became just one of many mountains. For me as a photographer its by the way on of the larger challenges to decide when I do visit which of so many fantastic locations, in such a fascinating landscape. I'm willing to own, I already had much worse problems.
So ein trüber Tag wie heute ist genau der richtige Moment um nochmal etwas Farbe ins Spiel zu bringen. Deshalb hier noch einmal ein Bild aus meiner Raps Feld Periode. In diesem Fall ist es ein etwas weiterer Blick und der Lilienstein (auf der rechten Seite) der auf anderen Fotos so präsent war, wird plötzlich einer von vielen Bergen. Für mich als Fotografen ist übrigens eine der größeren Herausforderung, bei so vielen grandiosen Orten in dieser faszinierenden Landschaft zu entscheiden, wann ich wo hin gehe. Ich gebe zu, ich hatte schon schlimmere Probleme.
After a light rain shower, the sky clears over the coastal marsh Marais du Quellen near Trebeurden in Brittany and there it is, one of the semi-wild Camargue horses that ensure that the meadows in the marshy terrain remain meadows. One sees the horses rarely in the unclear and hardly accessible, because boggy area. However, the photo god was probably very favorable to me in this case.
The Bretons call the white horses "Chevaux de fées", fairy horses.
Truth to be told,, in this wild oak thicket, the fairy horse looks as if it is waiting for the night, roaming the swamp forest of oaks, alders and poplars with the fairy queen Titania on its back in a swirl of fireflies.
Nach einem leichten Regenschauer klart der Himmel über dem Küstensumpf Marais du Quellen bei Trebeurden in der Bretagne auf und da steht es, eines der halbwilden Camarguepferde, die im moorigen Gelände dafür sorgen, dass die Wiesen in dem Sumpfgebiet Wiesen bleiben. Man sieht die Pferde selten in dem unübersichtlichen und kaum zugänglichen, weil morastigen Gelände. Der Fotogott war mir aber in diesem Fall wohl sehr zugeneigt.
Die Bretonen nennen die weißen Pferde »Chevaux de fées«, Feenpferde.
Und wirklich, in diesem wilden Eichendickicht sieht das Feenpferd aus, als warte es auf die Nacht, um umschwirrt von Glühwürmchen mit der Elfenkönigin Titania auf dem Rücken, durch den Sumpfwald aus Eichen, Erlen und Pappeln zu streifen.
This old oak is called "Julius-Eiche". It was once considered a natural monument. Its specialty is that it grows next to a clearing and has all its branches stretched out towards the light. Even so, it is still strong and firm. Unfortunately, this forest is currently heavily managed and I hope that it will be able to stay alive for a long time to come.
Diese alte Eiche hat den Namen "Julius-Eiche". Sie galt einst als Naturdenkmal. Ihre Besonderheit ist, dass sie neben einer Lichtung wächst und alle ihre Äste zum Licht hin ausgestreckt hat. Trotzdem steht sie immer noch stark und fest. Leider wird dieser Wald zur Zeit stark bewirtschaftet und ich hoffe, dass sie noch lange am Leben bleiben darf.
A group of trees and bushes can be seen right on the cliff edge of the high snow mountain in the Bohemian Switzerland. Due to the fog that has completely filled in the valley, it looks like the world has ended just beyond.
The frost has settled on the branches of the plants, creating beautiful sculptures. It's like walking through an art gallery. You want to stop at every single tree and bush and marvel at these bizarre shapes. In between, as here, a mountain ash appears again and again, whose bright red berries form a grandiose contrast to the otherwise almost monochromatic landscape. Just zoom into the picture and let yourself be enchanted.
Rarely have I seen such beauty as this morning up here on the mountain.
Eine Gruppe von Bäumen und Büschen seht direkt an der Felskante vom Hohen Schneeberg in der Böhmischen Schweiz. Auf Grund des Nebels, der das Tal vollständig aufgefüllt hat, sieht es so aus, als wäre die Welt direkt dahinter zu ende.
Der Frost hat sich auf die Äste der Pflanzen gelegt und so wunderschöne Skulpturen erschaffen. Es ist, als würde man durch eine Kunstgallerie wandern. Man möchte bei jedem einzelnen Baum und Strauch stehen bleiben und diese bizarren Formen bestaunen. Zwischendrin, so wie hier auch, taucht immer mal wieder eine Eberesche auf, deren leuchtend rote Beeren einen grandioser Kontrast zu der ansonsten fast monochromen Landschaft bilden. Zoomt einfach mal ins Bild hinein und lasst Euch verzaubern.
Ich habe nur selten so viel Schönheit gesehen, wie an diesem Morgen hier oben auf dem Berg.

Scenes like this one often come across on a trip to the mountains of Madeira's interior. Hillsides with lush greenery, terraced fields and narrow roads winding through the valleys. Another face of this beautiful island that I didn't expect. Not here and nowhere else in Europe.
When I saw this landscape for the first time, it reminded me more of reports from South America that I once saw on television.
This incredible diversity in such a small space is what I will remember most about Madeira.
Bei einem Ausflug in die Berge im Inneren der von Madeira kommt man oft an Szenen wie dieser hier vorbei. Berghänge mit üppigem und sattem Grün, Terrasssenfelder und schmale Strassen, die sich durch die Täler winden. Ein anderes Gesicht dieser wunderschönen Insel, welches ich so nicht erwartet hätte. Nicht hier und auch nirgendwo sonst in Europa.
Als ich diese Landschaft das erste mal gesehen habe, hat sie mich eher an Reportagen aus Südamerika erinnert, die ich mal im Fernsehen gesehen habe.
Diese unfassbare Vielfältigkeit auf so kleinem Raum ist das, was mir von Madeira am Meisten im Gedächtnis bleiben wird.

Dieser Küstenabschnitt wird mir in bester Erinnerung bleiben, die warmen Farben der eindrücklichen Felsformation, das kühle türkisblaue Wasser, dazu noch die schwarzen runden Lavasteine... ein Kombination die mich extrem faszinierten.

Die ab 1955 hergestellte FED-2 kann in ihrer äusseren Gestalt und auch Teilen ihrer Konstruktion ihre Entwicklungsgeschichte aus einer Leica II-Kopie nicht verheimlichen, weisst aber ´gegenüber dieser viele Unterscheidungsmerkmale und Weiterentwicklungen auf.

To be able to experience this is filling me with happiness, that I was able to capture and preserve it with pride.

Eine Konstante in unserem Leben ist die Vergänglichkeit, wir sind Seefahrer auf der Reise durch die Zeit. In diesem kurzen Abschnitt, den wir Leben nennen, passieren wir Momente, die sind so besonders, dass sie für immer in unserem Gedächtnis bleiben. Meist sind sie jedoch auch so schnell wieder vorbei, dass es zu leicht ist, sie zu übersehen.
Dies hier, war so ein Moment. Die Blumen werden in zwei Wochen verblüht sein, die Sonne wird morgen schon an einer anderen Stelle untergehen und dieses grandiose Licht, wird in fünf Minuten erloschen sein. Dies miterlebt zu haben erfüllt mich mit großer Freude, dass ich es einfangen und bewahren konnte mit Stolz.
Seid aufmerksam auf eurem Weg, nehmt Euch die Zeit auch einmal zu verweilen und wirklich hinzusehen.

It snowed yesterday, it cleared up during the night - winter has arrived. In the morning -6°C - white roofs, smoke rises from the chimneys. A thick blanket of fog lay over large parts of Saxon Switzerland this morning, but there were also light patches, like here. And there are still a few colored leaves on the trees, but they won't stay for much longer...
Gestern hat es geschneit, in der Nacht klarte es auf - der Winter ist angekommen. Am Morgen -6°C - weiße Dächer, Rauch steigt aus den Schornsteinen. Über weiten Teilen der Sächsischen Schweiz lag heute früh eine dicke Nebeldecke, aber es gab auch lichte Flecken, so wie hier. Und noch sind ein paar farbige Blätter an den Bäumen, aber die werden nicht mehr lange bleiben...
Here is the photo I had planned for yesterday.
Maybe you still recognize the area. The photo was also taken at my favorite place on the small mt. Winterberg in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. But this time my favorite pine is not in the picture. This is further to the right. And while the tree in question is the focus of every visitor (I alone have photographed it umpteen times), the trees next to it are hardly noticed. So they are not only on the edge of the rock but also on the edge of perception.
This feels a bit like we're at a party or a family reunion. There is always someone in the center who draws everyone's attention while others remain quite inconspicuous in the background. But maybe it would be interesting to turn to them in order to learn more about them. I believe what there is to discover would surprise us all.
Hier kommt nun das Foto, was ich für gestern schon geplant hatte.
Vielleicht erkennt Ihr ja die Gegend noch. Das Foto entstand ebenfalls an meinem Lieblingsort auf dem kleinen Winterberg im Elbsandsteingebirge. Doch dieses Mal ist meine Lieblingskiefer nicht im Bild. Diese steht weiter rechts. Und während der besagte Baum im Fokus jedes Besuchers steht (ich allein hab ihn schon x mal fotografiert) werden die Bäume daneben kaum wahrgenommen. Somit sind sie nicht nur am Rand des Felsens sondern auch am Rand der Wahrnehmung.
Das fühlt sich ein bisschen an, als wären wir auf einer Party oder einem Familientreffen. Da gibt es immer jemanden im Mittelpunkt, der alle Aufmerksamkeit auf sich lenkt, während andere ganz unscheinbar im Hintergrund bleiben. Doch vielleicht wäre es interessant sich gerade diesen einmal zuzuwenden um mehr über sie zu erfahren. Ich glaube, was es dort alles zu entdecken gibt würde uns alle überraschen.

Die Siebenfarbige Erde ist ein Naturphänomen in der Nähe der Ortschaft Chamarel im Südwesten der Insel Mauritius. Die Farben kommen durch die Umwandlung von Basaltlava in Tonminerale zustande. Today it is one of those days, where you prefer to stay in bed. It is dull, it is cold and it's raining.
And than you imagine to be somewhere else. For instance in one of these beautiful houses in the deeply snow covered Allgäu Alps. Wrapped in a cosy warm blanket with a cup of hot tea on the balkony ore inside relaxed in front of a chimney fire. Only to think about that is making me feel better.
Heute ist wieder einer dieser Tage, an denen man am liebsten im Bett bleiben möchte. Es ist trüb, es ist kalt und es regnet.
Und dann stellt man sich vor, man wäre ganz woanders. Wie zum Beispiel in einem dieser schönen Häuser im tief verschneiten Allgäu. In eine kuschlige Decke gewickelt, mit einer Tasse heißem Tee auf dem Balkon oder gemütlich im Inneren vor einem Kaminfeuer. Allein bei dem Gedanken daran, gehts mir schon besser.

Letztes Jahr habe ich diesen großen Steinpilz gefunden. Manche haben diesen Pilz als Omas alten Stopfpilz bezeichnet als sie ihn gesehen haben. Nein nein der war echt und ohne Wurm und soooo lecker.

Weiter geht es um die Krumme Lanke mit seiner langen Geschichte.
Seinen Namen verdankt die Krumme Lanke dem Dorf Crumse, das im Jahr 1251 von dem Zisterzienserorden des Klosters Lehnin für 150 Mark gekauft wurde. Im Jahr 1242 hatte dieser Orden bereits das Dorf Zehlendorf, den Schlachtensee und den Nikolassee erworben.
Die Krumme Lanke und der Schlachtensee sind unterirdisch verbunden.
Im 2. Weltkrieg stürzt 1944, nach einem Luftangriff auf Berlin, ein britischer Bomber in den See und versank. Erst 1970 wurde das Flugzeug geborgen. Ein gefährliches Unterfangen weil die Behörden Treibstoff und Bomben an Bord vermuteten.
Heute ist der See nicht mehr überall frei zugänglich, große Teile sind durch Zäune abgesichert. Hier kann die Natur sich frei entfalten. Im See wurde Schilf angebaut zu Schutz der Vögel und Wassertiere. An den breiten Uferstreifen bestimmt die Natur was dort wächst. Bäume die morsch sind werden gefällt und bleiben dort liegen. An dem See sind heute noch drei Badestellen und ein Pfad der um den See verläuft.

Since yesterday it finally looks like spring outside and it feels like it now. I am very confident that we will now largely be spared severe winter setbacks.

We are going to stay one more day in the woodlands.
On my hikes here, I'm always looking out for objects, that are standing out from the masses. Especially in late autumn and during the winter, its the leaf trees in between an army of conifers, what I drawing my attention with their coloured leafs. Like this little beech tree here in the middle of a spruce plantage.
Wie bleiben einen weiteren Tag im Wald.
Bei meinen Wanderungen hier suche ich immer nach Objekten, die aus der Masse herausstechen. Besonders im späten Herbst und während des Winter sind es die Laubbäume zwischen dem Heer aus Nadelbäumen, die mit Ihren farbigen Blättern immer wieder meine Aufmerksamkeit erregen. So wie hier diese kleine Buche in mitten einer Fichtenplantage.

Heute, an diesem heißen Tag, bleiben wir mal etwas im Schatten der Bäume. Der Wald ist der perfekte Ort um solche Temperaturen auszuhalten, denn hier ist es von Natur aus immer klimatisiert.
Zum Glück gibt es im Allgäu nicht nur Seen, Berge und grüne Wiesen sondern auch reichlich Wald durch den man wandern kann.
Dieses Foto hier entstand auf dem Weg zu dem Aussichtspunkt, den ich Euch gestern gezeigt habe.
