The Star Flyer ride on the seafront at Blackpool.
Called in at Blackpool on our way up to The Lakes. Bit of a detour and we spent a couple of hours wandering along the prom and braving the beach.
The usual seaside fayre....Two guys practicing mixed martial arts with their tops off, kids playing 'kick the football at the trams,' three ladies offering me a can of special brew if I took a picture of them, a full scale choreographed light sabre fight being filmed and a bloke on a unicycle dressed as Santa.

Blackpool Sands is a beach in Dartmouth, Devon, England named after the nearby village of Blackpool. It has been increasingly encroached on each year since 1933. In 1989 the sea broke the defences, severely damaging seaside properties and threatening the A379 road.
It was clearly a very popular day and quite possibly the busiest beach I have yet seen on my walk along the South West Coast Path
