Bit of macro Monday for me today.
I found this magnificent PCB at work a while back, freed from an old server destined for the scrapheap in the ground.
I seated my tilt adapter on the macro rings with the Helios 44-2 on that.
I love how the tilt adapter mixed with a macro setup and colour choice make this look like an industrial scene in the depths of winter. The small chips look like cars lined up in a carpark and the covering of dust simulates a harsh frost beautifully.

Bit of a sombre tone today, not well and really not enjoying being stuck at home for the next 7 days but at least I have company unlike this little guy.

A bit different than my usual - but if you've been following me you've learned by now that's how I like it, different than my usual. I don't want to be penned in and constrained by a solitary style.
I haven't done a picture up of Katerina in a bit, what with one thing and another, and since I had to get her all gussied up for some holiday RP goodness, I figured, why not? Not too much done here, but I think sometimes the best pictures taken from SL are the ones that are beautiful when barely touched.
Kayotiq Lyric is Katerina Levoci, a Child of Khonsu vampire sometimes roleplayed at Convergence: The Lost City, an urban roleplay sim with post-apoc, futuristic themes.

I love Ranunculus, densely layered, and this bloom opened beautifully, not always evident, their stems are extremely delicate and do tend to just collapse before the bud can open into a gorgeous voluptuous bloom...
For years I 'experimented' in the studio, to get that Flemish painter's light?
Well, I was born in Flanders, it must be in my blood? LOL.

For Macro Mondays 'Initials' theme - this is my very first and very recently acquired marathon medal. One of the few things I'm actually quite proud of, worked very hard for a 4:33:41 finish. The initial ABP is for Associated British Ports, the title sponsors.

A lovely yellow tulip photographed in April at the Enabling Garden in Altoona, Iowa. I'm just mixing it up a bit since I have a ton of tulip photos from last spring that have already been processed.
Developed with Darktable 4.8.0.
Went for a wander in Abbeyford Woods with my friend Fran (who managed to get us lost ... which was rather amusing) ... the light wasn't great and avoiding copious amounts of dog poop meant I didn't get a great deal of interesting images ... but I love this one :D
Think I used the Takumar 55mm ... but to be honest I forget :D
A bit of luck and good timing as Union Pacific's MWCNP 03 (West Colton, California - North Platte, Nebraska) manifest and ARONSR 04 (Roper, Utah - NS Kansas City, Kansas) repo auto train pull side by side into North Yard in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 4, 2016.
UP 6781 has been routed along Main Track 3, the former Rio Grande main line to Ogden, Utah.
Another bit of flash photography due to our recent inclement weather, I caught this Great Tit in such a position that it looks as if its hiding behind its wing...now you see me, now you don't! ;)

Bit of a blow out this morning.
Turned up, got this shot quite quickly. Then the heavens opened and it became clear very quickly that I was totally unprepared for it. Wet camera, wet lenses, wet filters and wet me.
To top the morning off as I was walking back to the car I dropped my camera on concrete. Surprisingly its mostly fine. A little dent/chip of paint lost. Certainly could have been much worse.
But anyway, at least I got one shot.
I revisited the sharp-tailed sandpipers a bit later, and there were still some males exhibiting breeding behavior. They must have been quite well-rested and nourished.

We were exploring a little village whose name I forget now when we saw this gushing water and a long low building, really no more than a roof built on the ground. We were puzzled as to what this could be and Anita wondered if the water was cold. It was.
A bit later the owner of the little "Mom and Pop" store told us it was a spring and that people came from all over to get water from it. I was happy to learn it Was a spring and not... you know something to do with sewage~ LOL
Still adding album fodder, it's a big album with over eighty photo's in it.. The photo's are in the order that they was taken..
