this is from what might be forever ago! okay, really only two years, but it feels like it was a while ago! my bffff jeff took these silly photos of my friend melissa and i in burlington, vt. this is what happens when it's cold and snowy and winter is never-ending!
if that isn't one happy dog face, then i don't know what is.
the lovely little mutt's name was Winston, i think. The guy lived in Kent, England and in somewhat close proximity to Winston Churchill's estate, i believe. hence the name. he's been here for a few years now, though.
one thing about me: if i see a dog, a cat, a snake, or anything that is a pet by any stretch of the imagination, while out and about, i am compelled to try pet it and fall a little bit in love as much as possible without being seen as creepy.
another thing about me: i talk to strangers. a lot. i don't embarrass easily. and i'm very talkative and love meeting people. even if for a few minutes. my shy-ish husband is not the biggest fan of this aspect of my personality.
and if i happen to meet someone from the UK, it becomes a personal goal for the next few minutes to decipher where EXACTLY they're from, without them telling me but with a few questions, or just making them speak and trying to decipher the dialect and pin it on a city. it's a fun game for me. probably not so much for them. but i'm like, this ridiculous, sort of sad little Anglophile and it makes me happy. and my enthusiasm tends to carry me into the "endearing" fold instead of "annoying" fold more often than not.
so, put English boy, who, though not from the North (my fave), but also not from London - so bonus points, in my path, paired with a dog, make English boy cute and have a ridiculously stylish girlfriend with him who's also sweet, and clearly we're instant BFFFF's.
this is at a little coffee shop down the street from me on Melrose Ave. i ADORE this wall. it's painted this dark red and cracked and texture-y all on it's own. i have another picture that i used this wall in. sort of by accident (see comments). had my camera with me. a super old point and shoot and i asked if i could take a picture. he assumed i meant Just Dog, but i said, i wanted him too. and his girlfriend. and the dog. they were fun. and interesting. why not?
so he thought it best to pick up Winston and cuddle him for the duration of the few photos i snapped. out of all of them, this was the a cute little moment not exactly meant for the camera, so i liked it best.
he's nuzzling Winston and Winston LOVES it. seriously. that's just unreal contentment on that dogs face.

Lo echo mucho de menos, pasarme todo el dia con ellos y decir muchas paridas, pero sabiamos que algun dia acabaría, y bueno, ha sido el mejor final de curso que hubiera podido tener.

So one day I was feeling fat. Okay...LOTS of days I feel fat, but this was one of those days when nothing looked or fit right on me. Me n my bffff were going out that night and I tried on a million and one outfits...but I felt like that Stay-Puft Marshmellow Man. For those of you who don't get the Ghost Buster's Reference...I felt like a Fatty McButts.
Anyway, I knew I wanted to wear heels...because heels are hot and they make me feel sexy. And I had these smokin' leopard print heels...but what to wear them with?
Who said dark teal? Yep, that's right...I paired these Mossimo leopard print heels (hello! I found them at Plato's Closet for $6!!!) with a DARK TEAL Forever21 top. And somehow it just worked.
Jeans were out of the question that night...as the zippers were not cooperating and my behind was saying "Hide me! Hide me!"...so I decided black was best. The only black bottoms I owned were these refuge cargo capris...but again...somehow it just worked. And they were oh-so comfortable compared to my skin-tight-suck-it-in-squeeze-it-up jeans.
Normally I wouldn't put leopard print shoes with a leopard print purse (Kathy Van Zeeland by the way...from Plato's Closet). But it was dark and somehow...it just worked.
I added my Bebe black & gold heart necklace (a treasure from Plato's Closet...I wear it a lot), And some hammered gold circle earrings that match the heart on the necklace exactly...and somehow it all came together and it just worked...and I felt good.
That night I got a couple compliments on my outfit...and I definately didn't have on the same outfit as any other girl in the place.
Best birthday yet, it really was enjoyable. I loved all the card, texts, calls, and the cookie my bffff made. I dig being older but still wanna stay young.
I was super glad i got to see my best friend sawa. Her nd her mom picked me up and we went to eat at cannon grill, MMmmMMMmm those cheese fries!
Caaaaaant wait to get my zune and maybe a Holga!

Next week on monday is my birthday , but i dont want it to come . So many bad things happened to my family , i dont want to cram anymore . thank God when u gave a perfect mother and father to raise me for fourteen years, and im so regret that i did things make you guys sad. u guys dont have to worry about that kid anymore, i've already grown up fourteen years is enough to for me to take care of myself . Sometimes, i want to go away from our family because this place has so many bad memories for me .There are times that parents argue, I really sad. But what to do when considered a child .

I've made this my Love Thursday pic, and why?.... It's simple, I heart Gus.. a lot!
I've tried SL relationships before and they've NEVER worked and some people don't understand how or why I do, because I am srsly happy with my RL, I have a wonderful (most of the time :P) partner of nearly 12yrs (forget the breaks :P) and 2 gorgeous girls.. but in SL i've always loved someone to log in to, someone to hug when the need arose, someone to goof off with and most of all someone that *gets* me, and I have wonderful friends for that and Gus is possibly one of the bestest guy friends i've ever had.
Gus *gets* me more than any guy i've ever known, he's patient, caring... when i'm having little emo's he just gently reminds me that he's always there for me and when i'm dorking around with my bffff arbers he giggles at our farts. He's always there for EVERYONE and i'm just super lucky that i'm a lil bit more special than most to him in SL.
Just because you have a RL doesn't mean you can't find that special person online that is like your super best friend, one you can trust with no strings, one that doesn't want nor expect anything other than you want to give. Some people might not agree, but thats fine. I don't hide anything in my RL or my SL from anyone and i'm a very lucky lil lady in both.
I gave up on most SL boys, I didn't need em, why bother!... but then he just started making me smile with every word and cuddle.... Sometimes it's not about being "physical" (not that I need to explain that in detail but OH HAI RL FTW! ), its about chatting for hours about nonsensical stuffs and having a snuggle on a hammock and knowing that person just... gets it... and you... that's something i've learnt over my 5yrs here and I've honestly never been happier with my SL in that respect. It's all about the friendships, baby!

today. was the last day of my sophmore year:) & this is a photo series i took while in the car with my dear friend joseph after he picked me up:) it was originally 10 photos but i cut out some that looked basically the same:)
anywho; finals are over now. schools over now. going on into the summer before my junior year:)
after my awesome last day of finals & photo stalking people:) my bf came over & then i went to his baseball game & then to his house until my padre came to pick me up. it was a great day:)

1- There are two scars above my right eye which are really easy to see in this photo. I hate them a lot. The lower one is from my brother when he threw a toy at me and the other is from Dan (that’s the first time I’ve said that in a public forum).
2- I miss running. Having 5 knee surgeries put a damper on all those miles.
3- My heart hurts really easily.
4- Being floopy seems to be a way of life lately. I used to try to be breezy, but the flop has won out.
5- My eyes were gray until I was almost a year old and Helen thought that they would stay that way. Then they turned brown.
6- I have an older sister and a younger brother. We grew up not getting along and everyone said that we would grow out of it, I never believed them. Now my sister is one of my closets friends and I miss her terribly.
7- I’ve often said and firmly believe “I’m divorced, that means I can survive anything”
8- I hate when people say “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” It just sounds dumb and really gets on my nerves. There were times I wouldn’t have wanted to survive a lot of what I’ve gone through, and I also wouldn’t wish what I’ve gone through on anyone else. Ever. So I guess I would rather have not gone through hell and back and hell and back again to be a stronger person. I was quite ok where I was.
9- Had I not married Dan I wouldn’t have met Kate, I wouldn’t have taken the job I have now, I wouldn’t have moved to London. So there isn’t a regret in there.
10- I can cry on command.
11- As much as I like living alone, I don’t like walking past windows at night that don’t have curtains on them because I think there are people out there watching me.
12- If given the choice--- I will always always always choose left.
13- When I was a kid I gave numbers male and female designations. 1(male) 2(female) 3(male) 4(male) 5(male) 6(female)……
14- I have a lot of friends, but they are all the good ones. Really you are. The good ones.
15- I was in a sorority. I am proud of that.
16- I love getting flowers at work. So I send people flowers at work in the hopes it will come back to me.
