ATTENTION FELLOW FLICKR FRIENDS: Looking for some inspiration? Leslie (Bogostick) and I are excited to announce A-Z Challenge 2.0's final themes!
Group Description
A monthly challenge for doll photographers to find inspiration and contribute. Three to four themes based on each letter of the alphabet will be presented each month.
Members can submit a photo for one, two, or all themes. At the end of the month, members will vote for their favorite photos.
Participation is based on your time and inspiration. While we hope everyone can create a photo for each month, it is not required. Come and go as you like!
Submit just one photo per theme. Last day to submit photos for these themes is October 31st!
Read below for information about each theme. You can also visit the following discussion post: www.flickr.com/groups/2962397@N20/discuss/72157700433040401/
Themes for the month of October:
Y - Yellow
Yellow is often associated with positivity, freshness, happiness, and energy, so show us how your dolls add this cheerful color into their lives. Is your doll's wardrobe filled with bright yellow dresses and matching accessories? Perhaps your doll's kitchen is decorated with yellow fruits such as pineapples or lemons. Or maybe your doll maintains a flower garden filled with sunflowers or daffodils. There are endless possibilities to make this color the star of your photo!
Z - Zipper
Zzzzzip! Whether functional or decorative, zippers are one of the most commonly found fasteners in daily life. The same is true in the dolly universe! Think clothing and accessories such as zip-up jackets, purses, and thigh high boots. Think diorama pieces such as couch cushion covers, sleeping bags, or luggage. Or take an artistic approach and try zipper face makeup, tattoos, and unique graffiti art. How you approach this theme is entirely up to you. Just be sure a zipper is visible somewhere in your photo.
Bonus Theme - The End
Endings are often bittersweet, and the end of A-Z 2.0 is no exception. It has been an incredible journey with so many creative and inspiring photos submitted to this doll group. Although this theme is not a letter of the alphabet, it is an opportunity for those who joined the group late and for those who simply wish the cycle wasn’t ending to create one last photo. This theme is all about showing us an "ending." Has your doll just finished watching a movie and the credits are displayed on the TV screen? Maybe your dolls are Broadway cast members and they are taking bows after the final act of their performance. Or perhaps an empty wine glass is on a table because your doll has finished her glass of rosé at an intimate dinner. How you approach this theme is entirely up to you. Just be sure we get a sense that something is ending or coming to a close in your photo.
Thank you to all A-Z participants for such an amazing and inspiring cycle.
Sincerely,
Leslie (Bogostick) & Audra (MARVEL_DOLLS)
Make sure to title your photos with the theme you are representing. (example: A-Z challenge: A - All Aboard!)
