"La città della mia infanzia era una fotografia in bianco e nero ..." così inizia il quinto capitolo di "Istanbul" di Orhan Pamuk. Sono i suoi ricordi di bambino ... che nel 1960 aveva otto anni ... io ne avevo tredici e anche io la ricordo in bianco e nero ... forse, appunto, il bianco e nero sono i colori del ricordo ... Qui siamo nel quartiere di Beyoglu ... uno di quei portoni potrebbe essere quello di casa mia ...

"The city of my childhood was a B&W photograph ..." this is the incipit of the fifth chapter of "Istanbul" by Orhan Pamuk. It is how the author remembers his childhood ... In 1960 he was eight years old ... at that time I was thirteen and me too, I have the same rememberings of Istanbul as a black and white city ... maybe black and white are the colours of rememberigs ...

Here we are in Beyoglu ... one of those doors could be the door of my house ...
