The Barberries in my garden are keeping their color unusually late this year. I love them for their color and bright, red, berries, but respect them for their thorns!

A shot taken in 2019... as it is berry time . Who does not like raspberries ?
For MacroMondays#B-Food, freshly picked berries from my garden. Have a great week and thank you for visiting.
HMM!
Autumnal red berries in plentiful supply. The old saying is "that lots of berries, means a bad winter."
Bohemian Waxwing taken in Norwich during lunch break.
Part of a flock of approx. 20 birds which have been resident in the same street for over a week now. Still a lot of berries left though!
The birds weren't feeding for more than a minute or so at a go, spending most of their time at the top of a nearby tree. The flock call to each other up there and it sounds almost like a collection of high pitched wind chimes. Very enchanting.
Overcast day so tried out the flash and better beamer. This was mounted on a Wimberley flash bracket to add height and try and avoid 'grey eye' - but there were still a few shots with it present.
Quite difficult to try and balance the amount of light without making the flash effect too obvious, whilst still adding a bit of a catch light.
Sumac berries are a treat of Downy Woodpeckers. They can also be used to make a herbal tea.
