Macro Monday’s theme – Fill-the-Frame with Food.
Going out fruit picking over the weekend and eating quite a lot as I was going along thought it the perfect subject for a Macro Monday’s project, This is a macro of a range of fruits known for their antioxidant properties.
This is a macro of what was left.
Hello there,
These berries are adored by many birds, especially Bohemian Waxwings. It's definitely the right time of year to begin looking out for these migratory berry pickers. I took this image while on a recent neighbourhood walk.
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do love hearing from you!
Have a wonderful day and week!

The Barberries in my garden are keeping their color unusually late this year. I love them for their color and bright, red, berries, but respect them for their thorns!

Blackberries are red before they ripen and turn black, as can be seen on this pair of berries on a Triple Crown Thornless Blackberry plant. Textures: Flypaper and my own

A shot taken in 2019... as it is berry time . Who does not like raspberries ?
Une photo de 2019 car en 2020 et 2021 je ne suis pas allée cueillir les framboises mais j'espere bien aller cueillir des bleuets ( les myrtilles comme on dit en France). Ca sera probablement la semaine prochaine.
For MacroMondays#B-Food, freshly picked berries from my garden. Have a great week and thank you for visiting.
HMM!
The tiny, humble seasonal red berries that are so delightful.
Backlit macro, light rays refracting nicely from the water droplets, and highlighting the hidden seeds inside.
Bohemian Waxwing taken in Norwich during lunch break.
Part of a flock of approx. 20 birds which have been resident in the same street for over a week now. Still a lot of berries left though!
The birds weren't feeding for more than a minute or so at a go, spending most of their time at the top of a nearby tree. The flock call to each other up there and it sounds almost like a collection of high pitched wind chimes. Very enchanting.
Overcast day so tried out the flash and better beamer. This was mounted on a Wimberley flash bracket to add height and try and avoid 'grey eye' - but there were still a few shots with it present.
Quite difficult to try and balance the amount of light without making the flash effect too obvious, whilst still adding a bit of a catch light.
