A closer look at the Batman and Superman collaboration between Josiah, Billy and Myself. All sculpting was done by Josiah and Billy, Capes by Billy, and Paint by KJ. I had a lot of fun working with these guys and look forward to our next endeavor. I switched out the head we originally used for Batfleck for the Phoenix Custom's Pirate Assassin head. I like it. Watching BvS for the first time was both a fun experience and also quite exhausting. I had a near-12-hour workday that day and caught the late show with some friends. I was excited to be with the guys and finally see such a big movie, but I was a little out of it. I didn't want to admit it but I was struggling to keep awake, a problem I've never had in a movie theater in my entire life. My lack of focus resulted in me not understanding much of what I was watching, either.
By the end of the movie the theater was getting hot, I was tired, and the constant intense flashing of lights and super loud roars of Doomsday were giving me a Kryptonian Super-headache. I also really had to use the restroom as I was drinking a lot that night. I just wanted it to be over as soon as possible. By the time the credits rolled, I made a beeline for the urinal.

Anyway, throughout the entire Hero/Doomsday fight at the end, all I kept doing was trying to remember where I've seen a translucent green-tipped spear before.
I love these minifigures! I do wish Flash was a darker red color like his torso is. Other than that, these are all great minifigures! I see Lego finally listened to us about adding stubble to the Batfleck minifigure. I was a little disappointed, that we didn't get a black suit Superman though. Maybe that means he won't wear one on the movie, or that Lego could have him as a promotional minifigure in November. Hopefully it's the latter.

Holy cow! Did you guys see that trailer?!
I mean, yeah Star Wars had a good trailer too, but Batman v Superman! :D
Oh man I am pumped for this movie! (And we still have another year to go!)
It's funny, the talk about this movie has gone on for so long now that this is almost surreal to finally see some footage.
I was talking with my friend the day of the trailer about a "what if" scenario, where there has been so much lead up and hype for BvS and it being the springboard for The DCCU, that when the day finally comes, the movie begins with the ominous music and dark tones and then... credits roll, end of the film, Zack Snyder pulled one over our eyes! All the anticipation and comic-con panels... it was all a ruse! :P
But hey, we won't really know until next year....

Not to much to say about this shot. I wanted to try and give this a noir/b&w feeling to the piece, plus, that lighting was just fun to work with, getting the cowl and emblem just right.
Anyway, keeping it short today. I've got some bigger projects down the line that are nearing completion, featuring a bunch of updated characters and new ones too! So hang in there guys, we've got some exciting things coming your way :)

Not the greatest Characterization of the character but he sure did look badass.
Armoured - I took a file to the original armour to make it look more accurate and beat up. Added a torn up cape and Kryptonite spear to complete the look.
Batsuit - The JL minifig with a modded crotch piece and dual molded legs. That’s supposed to be the “Bat Brander” he’s holding.
Knightmare - Just added a BrickArms rifle to the official fig. TLG killed it with this guy.
This is a SDCC exclusive so I'm going to be spending the next hours crying to myself.
Future lordbrick here! Don't listen to that crybaby past me at all! It turns out that these sets are coming January 1st, 2016! They will be previewing all if the sets at Comic Con!! If you're going, take pictures!!!!!

Lego art design of the new Superman minifigure with new hair piece and armoured suit Batman. On his right hand, you can see Batman has a small green glow on it. Perhaps a Kryptonite ring?
I went for accuracy with the overall shape, but changed a few things where I wanted to (mainly just the back).
I built this after buying Set #76046 Heroes of Justice: Sky High Battle. It was also inspired by many of the "chibi" vehicles I saw popping up all over the place a few years ago.
or four of them anyway. I still haven't seen a Flash and I didn't feel like looking for my Superman. He's dead anyway. LOL
