Storm Sabine alias Ciara is not finished yet, there is a new storm in the starting blocks. Sunday it will arrive Germany.
I saw this yellow-billed egret (ardea intermedia) just before the sun rose, in Khao Lak, Phang Nga, Thailand.

Somehow, people rarely seem to look at the time a photo was taken (even though Flickr shows it rather prominently now). So I thought it might be best to post all the photos of my sheep before the shearing at once. Usually I post with a delay of up to 2 months.

This was the final morning of the tour with @simonroppel_photography . We were staying in a mountain refuge in a room with a dozen other strangers, many of whom likely didn’t appreciate the fact that we got up so much before dawn!
Of course, we got another completely clear morning so I tried to capture the stars during twilight above the mountains in front of us. This would have ended up as a very wide panorama which wouldn’t display well for web viewing, so I decided to squash and warp it in photoshop. Hopefully I didn’t overdo it!
