This is Sumida river passing through Asakusa, Tokyo. On the left is the headquarters of the Asahi Beer company, a famous landmark. It is roughly shaped and colored based on a glass of beer. Winding around it is the metropolitan expressway route 6. In the center is the Azuma bridge which appeared in another photo a few days ago.
東京浅草を通っている隅田川。左はアサヒビール本社ビルのランドマーク。形と色はビールのグラスみたいに設計している。ビルを巻いているのは首都高速6号。真ん中にあるのは先日の写真にも登場していた吾妻橋。
This friendly little robin joined us by the edge of the cliff at Beer in Devon, obviously hoping to find something to eat. He followed us closely, often coming within a couple of feet. Sadly, we didn't have any food with us so we returned the next day, hoping he would feed from our hands. We waited to see if he would come back but unfortunately he had decided to move on.
This is an empty store unit container that was left on the sidewalk in the snow. The Corona box was lying on the ground discarded under it. NYC.
A small tribute to what was a hot and humid summer here in Ottawa. Thankfully, there was plenty of beer to help keep things cool.....
This was so much fun!!
A sunset cruise on Lake Argyle...they pull the boat up in the middle of the lake, throw in a whole lot of floaty noodles and "insist" everybody gets in for a swim - I had to go in fully clothed! Some of noodles have been hollowed out and have bottles of wine and cans of beer stuffed into them!!.
Its the perfect floating bar - happy days.
The water is so deep its quite safe to dive off the top deck.
The only slightly disconcerting aspect is we'd also spent quite a deal of time looking at crocs...but fortunately only the timid freshwawter type :)
Tipsy Girl: "I Swear Steve, All Men Have Trust Issues."
Me overhearing the accusation and having had just enough beer to chime in and counter the observation.
Me: "Listen here Karen, We men will put our most prized possession in a mouth full of teeth. If that isn't trust, I don't know what is!"

I found this to be quite inspiring yesterday for some reason. About nine beers and four shots into the St. Patty's festivities.
昨日mamaが日本橋の「上海楽天地」と言うビルでゲットしたものです。
旅行した時のこと思い出してうれしくなって買ったんだって^^~

どやって飲むんだろう。。。
Picked this up when I was in Beijing. Drank it today for lunch. Tasted like one of those wine cooler thingees.
By the way, shot this on my new D700 using a 70-200VR. This lens vignettes terribly at 200mm wide open, check out the corners of this shot. It kind of works for this photo, but I rather add this myself in post than have every single one of my shots look like this. Unacceptable, really, for a $1700 lens.
