A pair of trucks fully equipped with all the gear needed for timber work. The Bedmat is a 1970 Bedford KM chassis with AEC Matador axles and transfer box. The AEC is a WW2 veteran from 1942. It was sold by the MOD in 1965 and used to pull a six wheel trailer carrying pipes. It was later registered for road use in 1979 and eventually purchased by it's present owner

The chassis was a 16 ton 4x2 Bedford KM Tipper that had been rolled, so a replacement KM cab was fitted & it was turned into a 4x4 timber tractor using AEC Matador components. All done by the present owners I believe. Taken at Welland 2025.

古い薄い5年のは捨てていた。
連日全ての冬布団を夜まで干す。厳寒に必要なので毎冬、乾燥させる。
冬用、新しく買った敷きパッドは猫の毛の様に優しい。
左は、西川のロング毛布。ベージュの色味が合っている。暖かさは普通…足りない…過酷な家だから…
秋がない。寒暖差が秋か。肝心な楽しみな「高い澄んだ秋空。秋晴れ」もない、晴れても雲が混ざってくる。

I had thrown away the old thin 5 year old one.
I dry all my winter futons until night every day. It is necessary in severe cold weather, so it is dried every winter.
For winter, the newly purchased bed pad is as gentle as cat fur.
On the left is Nishikawa's long blanket.
The beige color matches.
Warmth is normal...not enough...It's hard to live in a harsh house.

10.3_25:00 明朝は15℃…日中も21℃…☁️朝晩☂️、快適は少なく。すぐに厳寒の冬が来る。ボロ家だから春夏秋冬、他家より過酷な災害レベル、死に近い。生きるのがつらい。障害に難病になるのも納得、数十年。体調悪化(風邪、きのうの下痢など)こわい。ストーブはまだ準備掃除できていない。この布団と、冬の厚着のまま耐える。通院とか掃除とか日用品買い物管理とか冬支度…やる事は山積で、思考するだけで憂鬱…家の邪魔が入る…弱者だから命がけ防寒対策なのに(夏は熱中症対策…自分で精一杯、家は元気でいろ自分で守れ老いて冬が寒さが全員に対してこわい。

At the top of this small mountain, Funa-yama (船山), there is a microcosm of the circuit of 88 temples found on the island of Shikoku. Every 4-5 meters is a stone (bodhisattva) figure where pilgrims of this miniature course can stop and recite prayer or sutra. After closing the circle the person may gain a sense of completion and, indeed, return over and over, again. When this was created around the time of the 1830s series of famines, it was difficult for farmers to make the long trip to Shikoku for the months of walking required there. By doing this local substitute, the idea is to gain some of the merit or benefit that pilgrims on the full circuit receive.
