The Coca-Cola Beatbox, an interactive art installation within the Olympic Park, in Stratford, London.
Designed by Asif Khan and Pernilla Ohrstedt, the structure fuses architecture, sport, music and technology, inviting participants to activate the panels, each of which play a recording of a sport-derived noise to create music.
Shot with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G lens, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.

This was taken at the 2013 JPOP Summut Festival in San Francisco Japantwon. I believe this was the largest and best year yet for the Festival. It is always great to meet so many wonderful and talented people.

During the day the Coca-Cola Beatbox Pavilion looked like a big pile of double glazing units but once night fell it came alive thanks to the lighting. A shame then that during the day the queues were at least half an hour long but as can be seen here by 9pm at night the place was deserted.
From the Press Release : Asif Khan and Pernilla Ohrstedt, said: “The Coca-Cola Beatbox is our largest commission so far and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our distinctive brand of architectural design at London 2012. We have created a structure that fuses architecture, music, sport and technology in a completely unique way.
“The beat will draw people in and allow them to personally experience sports through sound away from the main Games venues. Coca-Cola has really allowed us to push the boundaries and we’re looking forward to unveiling the pavilion to the world when London 2012 opens its doors.”

Seedix the Overall Winner of the Czech Beatbox Battle Championship 2018 with the Tiger Fist pump as he hears he's moving on to the Finals.
The Coca-Cola Beatbox was another Olympic Park Pavilion I didn't make it inside, if inside is the right word, as queues were always very long. The Asif Khan and Pernilla Ohrstedt designed building seemed to consist of a spiral ramp which ascended to the roof with a series of interactive activities along the way. In my opinion, it's one of those buildings that looks better at night, some more photos to follow soon.
