Happy Macro Mondays : )
Second set of beads I shot after the ones I have (had) on an old bracelet ended up scattered in the floor when the band broke.
Small purple glass beads in a 1" bottle. I found a little package with 5 or 6 bottles (they came with corks) in the Euro shop. I will definitely use them in the future. Not sure though what normal people would do with them :)
The tiny flower from our driveway, they just grow through the cracks and people step on them and weedkiller gets poured on them. But I think they are as beautiful as orchids.
I suppose this is a rasta friendship bracelet, I found it and nobody claimed it.
This is 3,5 cm.
Happy Macro Monday.

Happy Macro Monday everyone.
I dropped a couple of beads into a glass of water ... hopefully the water bubbles show they are only little beads :)
J'ai ressorti quelques bracelets et colliers de Perles de toutes sortes et c'est reparti pour un tour d'horizon des plus belles pièces de la collection. #Macro #MacroMondays #Beads

Ironing beads or ironing beads are plastic rings that are arranged on a peg board until they form a figure. You can work with a pattern book or by using your own creativity. When all the beads have been placed on the board, ironing paper (or baking paper) can be placed on it. Afterwards, the obtained figure can be fixed with an iron by melting the beads.
The work can then be removed from the peg board. This board can be used again and again.
For this week's Macro Monday theme 'Gift'
My Mum loved her beads but my sisters and I don't really wear them so rather than leave them languishing in a box I had the idea of using them to make each of my sisters, my daughter and my nieces a decoration. I basically wired the beads onto a heart shaped wire frame. As the heart is bigger than the 3" limit for Macro Monday images I have photographed a small section of my heart. I gifted the hearts to my four sisters, my daughter and my nieces for Christmas and they were all really touched. Also included were some beads from a broken vintage necklace that belonged to our Maternal Grandmother. I shared those beads out to make sure everyone had some of them. I also colour matched the beads as much as possible to their home decor!
Thanks for all the very kind comments and faves on my images. They are, as always, very much appreciated.
Swarovski used to make a lovely range of beads ... and I collected a few of each design I thought might photograph well. These are among my favourites. Called 'brilliants' they create all kinds of colours when the light hits them. These are tiny, about 8mm cubes.
