We are all on this roller coaster right now... We make choices to protect our loved ones. You never think how much it's hurting not seeing your children and grandbabies...any loved ones. Everyone says try to stay strong... how long can we hold on?
I chose to protect my family and my residents. I cry when I see my loved ones on video chat... I have cried with my residents, most then don't understand what's going on, We comfort them when they miss their families...
I have cried so many times while driving to work wondering when I can see my family again... my grandbabies are to little to understand. I have a new grandson that is 2 months old, I have held him once, another one coming in less than 2 weeks.
Please hold onto your loved ones tonight... cherish every moment you have with them through all of this..

Su construcción comienza a finales del s. XII, se desarrolla en tres etapas entre el románico y el gótico. Todo un testimonio plástico alcanzado en Toro en el s. XII. En su interior destaca la Portada de la Majestad, s. XIII, esculpida en piedra conserva su policromía original. En ella dos temas principales de la época; la Exaltación de la Virgen y la Iglesia, representa el Juicio Final . En la Sacristía cabe destacar la talla de la Virgen de la Mosca, obra flamenca del s. XVI. un calvario de marfil y carey blanco del s. XVII y distintos retablos y esculturas de talleres locales.

Tokyo may not be as beautiful as your city.
It is mostly a modern cityscape, with the historic districts blending in.
But Tokyo, maybe it is much bigger than you imagine and has many different aspects.
Tokyo is home to 13 million people and has more stories to tell than that.
If it had not been for the pandemic, I think the Olympics could have shown the world much more of Tokyo.
But with TV crews and journalists all over the world trapped in a bubble, it is unlikely to succeed.
That is a great pity.

Can snails smile? This tiny juvenile snail certainly looks like it could have a cute little smile on its face as it swings from the stamen of a white rhododendron flower.
For Macro Mondays theme 'Backlit'.
For Smile on Saturday theme 'Meet Cute'.
A single flower from my white rhododendron was brought into my conservatory out of the strong breeze, and positioned where it could be backlit by morning sunshine coming through the window. The backlight shows off the translucence of the tiny snail's body and shell.
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph.

For "Sound" it had to be my violin. If I don't play it (and I know I should, but, oh dear, the overcoming!), I can at least honour it with a bit of Flickr sunshine from time to time. Maybe I should work on my "scratch resitance" (sound-wise), it might help me to get over the first caterwauling hours of exercise after so many years of not practicing ;-)
This, you've guessed it, is a small part of the F hole, about 2 cm / 0,78 inches wide. I decided to go for a slightly more "obscure", kind of vague low key look with a very shallow DOF, because when it comes to music, sound in general, it often is not very clear at all why we like a song, a specific sound, or why we positively hate it. Sound, music moves us, either way.
I have a busy day today, so I can only stop by here today occasionally, I hope to catch up with you later! HMM, Everyone, and have a nice and safe week ahead!
Für das Thema "Sound" musste es meine Geige sein. Wenn ich sie schon nicht spiele (ich sollte, ich weiß, aber die Überwindung!), kann ich ihr wenigstens von Zeit zu Zeit ein wenig Flickr-Sonnenschein gönnen. Vielleicht sollte ich an meiner (klanglichen) Kratzfestigkeit arbeiten, um, nach so langer Zeit des Nichtspielens, die ersten Stunden des Katzenjammers zu überstehen, bis es wieder rund klingt ;-)
Dies ist, Ihr habt es schon erraten, ein Teil des F-Lochs. Ich habe hier bewusst auf geringe Schärfentiefe gesetzt, um den Charakter von Musik, von Klang generell zu verbildlichen. Wir können ja oft gar nicht definieren, warum wir ein Musikstück mögen oder einen bestimmten Klang geradzu hassen. Musik, Klang bewegt, so oder so.
Ich habe heute viel zu tun und kann hier nur gelegentlich reinschauen. Ich hoffe, heute Abend wieder mehr Zeit für Euch und auch den MM zu haben. Ich wünsche Euch eine schöne neue Woche, liebe Flickr-Freunde, passt gut auf Euch auf!

chai and I are getting very old together, Leon joins us.
and my wonderful kind brother is still in the ICU trying to get well. he is, I'm afraid losing his battle. I think he must be so tired now.

This one might be a bit tricky to describe.
I was standing next to the Polygon Theatre, which is the zigzag structure to the left. I noticed that the Observatory highrise in the distance looked like it was standing on the edge of the building just behind the gallery building. The theatre and Observatory are actually 400 metres apart (1/4 mile).
So this is what I planned for, except for one thing. I had been shooting in camera multiple exposures with three images. The sun was bright and I couldn't see my LCD screen very well. I thought I was turning off my multiple exposures, but instead I changed it from 3 images to 2. So this ended up being an in camera double exposure. But in the end, I was quite happy with it anyway....

Patience is a virtue as they say. My shooting partner, friend and ace photographer Mike Ryan of Michael Ryan Photography and myself have been patiently waiting for some scenes to come alive with the winter rains. Mike puts in tireless hours of scouting and researching areas, including myself, but not to the level of Mike. We have been bouncing around the Sonoma, Mendocino and Humboldt coastlines in search of beauty and solitude. When it all comes together it can be quite rewarding.
