THEY may be widespread and rather nondescript, streaked brown bird, but I have a real affection for them, as a ground-dwelling species, it is quite approachable with care. Feeds on invertebrates as seen, a bit harder in the capture in the winter when they often form loose flocks.

Can be seen on the wing from mid May to early August, found widespread and sometimes common in the southern half of Britain and is slowly spreading northwards and can be found in its preferred habitat of ditches, pools, ponds and lakes. The male differs from the female by having a powdery blue abdomen with yellow spots along the body. The male will often return to the same sunlit perch and will defend its territory by flying of to intercept any possible intruders.
The Mekong Delta (Vietnamese: Đồng bằng Sông Cửu Long "Nine Dragon river delta"), also known as the Western Region (Vietnamese: Miền Tây) or the South-western region (Vietnamese: Tây Nam Bộ) is the region in southwestern Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea through a network of distributaries. The Mekong delta region encompasses a large portion of southwestern Vietnam of 39,000 square kilometres (15,000 sq mi). The size of the area covered by water depends on the season.
The Mekong Delta has been dubbed as a "biological treasure trove". Over 1,000 animal species were recorded between 1997 and 2007 and new species of plants, fish, lizards, and mammals has been discovered in previously unexplored areas, including the Laotian rock rat, thought to be extinct.

Por la Senda del Pantano.
La Senda del Pantano se encuentra en los Montes Torozos. Su recorrido circular es de unos 9 kilómetros, comienza y finaliza en el monasterio de la Santa Espina, sigue la ruta del río Bajoz, discurre entre la naturaleza, zonas boscosas con diversidad de arboles, encinas, quejigos, sabinas, pinos..... una zona protegida de aves. Ocasionalmente podemos encontrarnos con zorros, jabalíes, conejos. ruinas de un antiguo molino, En el pantano podemos ver ánades, garcetas, zampullines, cormoranes, garcetas. Un paseo agradable y fácil de recorrer.

CANAL de CAMPOS
Al calor de la construcción del Canal de Castilla se vio la necesidad de revitalizar demográficamente el recorrido. Fue Carlos IV quien ordeno la creación de once nuevas poblaciones, algunas sobre algún despoblado anterior. De entre estos nuevos poblados uno fue Sahagún el Real, originalmente conocido como San Fernando, que acabó recibiendo el nombre de Sahagún el Real o el Viejo. Hoy recibe el topónimo de Casas del Rey .
Se levanto un nuevo poblado incluso con iglesia hoy ermita, además de almacenes, un mesón, y algunas instalaciones auxiliares del Canal como la Casa del Fiel y uno de los más importantes embarcaderos de todo el trazado.

a rockface of multiple small waterfalls coming down a tremendously high mountain (Hestur mountain) in Hestfjordur along Iceland's Westfjords. The whole scenario looked so enchanting I thought this had to be a natural bathtub destined to offer dryads and nymphs a refreshing bath ;)
A twisted Bristlecone pine looks to be upside down as it juts out of the terrain in the White Mountains.
While scouting around the mountainous regions around the Owens Valley, I made my way over to the Ancient Bristlecone Forest to take some photos and scout locations for later nightscape trips. I spent some of my time shooting the discovery trail and an extra hour here on this most unusual specimen of a tree. At over 4000 years old Its branches look to have been ripped from the ground and turned over and stuffed back in, as if its roots were reaching out to suck some moisture from the sky. From every angle this tree looks completely different and after an hour thought I had enough, but I'm finding that I need to make my way up there again during a moonrise with a sunset in the background or maybe some lightning behind would make for a very unique comp. As the day drew to a close I was lucky enough to have some stormy weather which I was lucky enough to have throughout the weekend and I actually did get some snowfall which is surprising for July!!! :)
