The 7th Arbroath Boys' Brigade in 1964 won the inaugural 'Sportagama' cup, a major event on the BB calendar, for a 10-minute musical act of entertainment. The event was held at Arbroath Academy, and among those responsible for the boys' victory that year were, from left - Lieutenant Betty Greenhowe, Liz Kinnear, pianist; Lieutenant Earl Matthew, Lieutenant Diana Christie and Lieutenant Beatrice Gerrard. The cup was won in competition against 12 companies of the Angus Battalion. The 7th Arbroath presented a Can-Can routine, with the boys taking the part of the dancing girls.
