Feral pigeons having a wash and brush up in a puddle in the local park.

Pied Wagtail taking an evening bath at the lake edge.

Great to see him in his natural habitat. When I watch them scurrying round motorway services car parks looking for scraps I always think - you are too good for this place!

This is Rosie, my other Indian ringneck.

I give them baths in the backyard with a hose. :D

She loves them.

Sorry for the mist.

Such an excited family. Note the monster toy that matches the monster on Niko's shirt.

5 weeks old.

I noticed how the light was reflecting on the shampoo and bubble bath containers and thought this might make an interesting capture.

This is over exposed but I like the way their eye color pops up. I accidently left the camera on the wrong manual exposure.

While I was photographing some fossils today (catching up on the backlog, I'll have them up soon...), our cat Charlie was being a fine studio assistant. How better to contribute to my productivity than laying underfoot and being cute?

Feb 1st 2009

After Paul and I had lunch with my family we returned back home and had to give Val, the bunny, a wash and hairdry.

She hadn't been too well and needed a clean. We put her in the shower inside a wash basket in the hope she wouldn't try escaping. She was really good and well behaved and only tried a little nibbling and scratching. After the shower it was time to dry her off. We used my hairdryer and got most of her fur on top dry. She then sat wrapped in a towel on my lap for about an hour and got a bit dryer and felt a bit happier.

Also visited friends next door to see their new kitten. Very cute but Paul worries as cats try and attack Val and Tino. Let's hope Dexter behaves.

Just keep the washcloth on my chest warm and I'm a happy girl.

For all I can tell, maybe that's what they're really doing & I'm just a cynical old man with a soiled mind...

Local families live along the first few miles of the Inca Trail. At one

break along the way, Tim refilled his water bottles. Soon after, a young

girl climbed up to cool off in the spray.
