UK Specialist Ambulance Service's only Fiat Ducato Bariatric Ambulance is seen here parked up at their base in Rainham. I believe this vehicle has since been decommissioned. My thanks go to the company for allowing a visit for photos and for moving and lighting the vehicles up. Plates blanked on request of the company.

"Bariatric" ambulance, usually pre-booked for transport of outsize patients. Also can assist with outsize emergency patients when required. Ex Large heavy duty cot and heavy duty tail lift. Originally South Yorks. - now in new merged service.
In July 2011 Santa Clara County EMS contract for provision of ALS ambulance services will change from AMR to Rural/Metro. In late June Rural/Metro held an official opening for their new offices and showed off some of their new fleet.
The new Rural/Metro fleet consists of 55 brand new Ambulances, including 5 Bariatric units, 2 alternative transport vehicles (4x4 all terrain vehicles), a disaster response vehicle, 6 EMS Supervisor vehicles and several bicycles.
EMS Supervisors will be seen driving these 2011 Chevy Silverado 4x4 rigs.
