Walking in nature is always a success with children. The Barefoot Path makes walking in the woods even more fun. Follow the 2.5 km long trail that crisscross through Landgoed Lievensberg. With your bare feet you can feel the warm soft sand of the open plain or the moist sooty ground of the forest. You just wipe the mud between your toes on the soft moss. On the path with the small sharp stones you push your limits, while the tree trunk path appeals to your sense of balance. So shoes and socks off and enjoy! Because with the Barefoot Path you experience and feel Landgoed Lievensberg in a unique way.

Dancing Barefoot
Patti Smith
She is re-creation
She, intoxicated by Thee
She has the slow sensation that
He is levitating with she
Here I go and I don't know why
I spin so ceaselessly
Till I lose my sense of gravity
I'm dancing barefoot
Heading for a spin
Some strange music draws me in
Makes me come on like some heroine
Oh God, I fell for You
Second shot from our trip down to the Southern Highlands yesterday morning.
This is a small section of a waterfall (one of two) called Twin Falls.
I shot this at 200mm, looking down and across at the falls, from way up on the cliffs on the lookout.
I love finding little details on huge expansive scenes, to just zoom in on and capture.
Hope you like "Dancing Barefoot"
Cheers, Mike
Today it was 43 degrees on the way to school. And to think that just last month we were standing barefoot on our concrete playground overlooking the city and the lake.

Barefoot (what!) Carve
Jamie invited me out to shoot/skate in Vancouver yesterday with the idea of wanting to carve over the loop barefoot. He had done it once before for a best trick contest but wanted to get a shot for himself.
Mad props. Especially with the bonus of the broken arm.

Barefoot I leave it.
My coming, my going --
Two simple happenings
That got entangled.”

Si pudiera volver a vivir
comenzaria a andar descalzo a principios de la
primavera y seguiria asi hasta concluir el otoño.
Iria a mas lugares adonde nunca he ido,
comeria mas helados y menos habas,
tendria mas problemas reales
y menos IMAGINARIOS.
contemplaria mas amaneceres y
jugaria mas con los niños.
If I could live again
would begin to walk barefoot in the early
spring and so would follow until the end of autumn.
Iria to more places where I've never been,
would eat more ice cream and fewer beans
would have more real problems
and less IMAGINARY.
watch more sunrises and
would play more with the kids.
