A little practice before I work with my model next weekend. This is my daughter's Barbie styling head again, this time in a slightly different pose and in color. The pink lips and eyeshadow were originally too bubblegum so I processed the color a bit to give this a more "50's-60's glamour portrait" look, perhaps a la Jayne Mansfield or Marilyn Monroe. I think this pose would have been better if this Barbie had a larger bust.
I posted the first shot below. I think I like that one better. I would appreciate any constructive criticism. Thanks!

This was the Repro that I really wanted out of all of the 50th anniversary dolls (though they are all really cool!! Maybe I can pick up the rest...) Anyway, I think she looks pretty good, I like the repro of the outfit that came with her.. the only things I would really complain about are she has the dreaded stiff hair and I think her eyelashes are too long.

Pediophobia - the irrational fear of dolls.
With 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters I have always been surrounded by BARBIE DOLLS..... bodies dismembered, legs here, arms there, and heads over there. They have non human figures and very creepy expressions. Their body parts are removable and interchangeable making a Frankenstein erector set.
They make Chucky look like a teddy bear.
