I love the woods! I love the smells and peaceful mood in the woods and forest!
Sulfur-flowered Buckwheat (Sulphurflower) has balls of tiny flowers at the end of nearly bare stalks.
Apparently, this is a highly variable species of native wildflowers, with color variation and size differences depending on its location and growth conditions. These were vigorous, but despite their vigor and profusion of blooms, they were less than 12 inches (30 cm) tall.
Look in largest size to see the individual tiny flowers.

Birds love to eat spiky balls.
My friend Joe Hengel took a spikier ball as below ^o^ ↓
I spotted these colourful balls in one of the Ekka's 2016 attractions, it was close to sunset and the light was coming from behind them, so I decided to photo play them with my camera.

Macro Mondays theme Five
Running a bit behind at the moment! I've just returned from visiting my mother in Devon (220 miles away) who is in the latter stages of dementia, she slept throughout each of my visits - a bit soul destroying.
These are five mini chocolate snow balls (on a bed of sparkly icing sugar) - they are only available at Christmas, so it's a must!
The frame measures around 6cm across.
Happy Macro Mondays! 😊
