The thin wire fence isn't going to stop the hot air balloon from crossing over it.
Last of the flight items for this flighty week!
Happy Fence Friday and have a great weekend too!
These people had just landed in their own hot air balloon and as they waited for the car to arrive they watched many others popping up over the horizon and drifting towards them. The setting sun was still quite bright and I liked the way it silhouetted the scene and cast a golden glow.

Cappadocia is known around the world as one of the best places to fly with hot air balloons. The spectacular surrealistic landscapes combined with excellent flying conditions allow the balloons to gently drift over and between fairy chimneys, pigeon houses hewn into the unique rock formations, orchards and vineyards – through impressive valleys, each with distinctive rock formations, colors and features – and then float up over rippled ravines for breathtaking views over the region.
I wasn't very pleased with the glow this year, they had way to many stadium lights on to be able to see the balloons glow nicely. This is the best glow show I could get compared to the nice ones last year.
Hot air balloons at the Mid Hudson Balloon Festival on the bank of the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie, New York.
At sunrise in Myanmar there are always 20 to 30 hot air balloons launched over the 4000 or so Pagodas in Old Bagan. It really is a beautiful sight to see. The price of actually going in one of those balloons was £250 which was a little rich for my blood, especially as climbing to the top of a pagoda and watching it was free.

Chatt. Balloon Co. at a friends house. The balloon was flying over my house , traveled a short distance and started to descend. My husband and I are getting to be pretty good balloon chasers. The balloons fly over every now and then. We arrived at our friends house right after the landing. I shot this photo through the windshield of my husbands truck.
The balloon is nowhere as close to the house as it looks in the photo, but I like the illusion that it is.
A fun evening and photo for me. :-)

Unidentified flying object. If you are a bird, this is exactly what it is. Their reaction is to dive into the foliage and sit there quietly until the threat has gone away, in just the same manner as they do when a wedge-tailed eagle is circling above.

The framing program at the festival "Flammende Sterne" 2007 in Ostfildern was also nice, e.g. the glowing hot air balloons. This glowing presentation shortened the waiting time till the spectacular fireworks.

Alright... That last photo I posted was kinda lame, so I thought I'd post something with some color. I went back through all the balloon crap back in Albiquirquee a couple months ago. You can't go wrong with an Albaquerqui Balloon Fiesta photo. Everybody loves the damn balloons!
