Just north of Swanage sees the re-emergence of the chalk that runs across much of Southern England. The sea has eroded it away to the east of here but it re-emerges once again on the Isle of Wight

From the series on Burial Grounds. I had a good wander around Ballard Burial Ground in Miltown Malbay recently and was impressed by how people used locally quarried stone in the past to commemorate the last resting place of loved ones.
The crypts in this part of Clare are quite plain but beautifully cut.
In this image you can see that the stone roof on the nearest crypt has fallen in and has been replaced by a grassy mound of earth.
