I spent Saturday afternoon chasing bees.... I'm getting so much braver LOL And I even managed to get one in focus!!!!
This one was zooming around Mum's aquiligeas and had gathered a lot of golden nectar, you can see her little golden sack by her leg :)

In Italy where my husband is from there is a tradition to give small packages like soft bags with colorful candy inside. This was a bigger one with the hard shell around and candy inside of it. This is a miniature bag, super cute blue, meant for a baby boy. My son was born 13 years ago but I still keep this as a souvenir and memory from that time.

These origami models are all designed by Jo Nakashima, except for the bag, which is a traditional origami Waterbomb. And he has made a video-tutorial for all the models:

Bella's had an excellent Christmas. Santa paws left some toys, she got to climb the apple tree and then claimed a gift bag for her own. She is alternating between sleeping on it and ripping it to shreds. Hope you have all had an equally enjoyable day.
2017 was a mixed bag - a great year personally, but a disaster for society and the environment.
It was also the year of the mobile phone, with over 1/2 of the images on Flickr this year coming from mobile phones. This image was with the iPhone 6S, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
