Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a blue day Color My World Daily and the theme at Looking close on Friday is bag. Once again, it is an awesome theme ! Few years ago (but it seems like yesterday) we had a birthday party for my oldest son. It was his 5th birthday, I believe, and we had a « candy bar » for this occasion. It was the easiest thing to set up : a table, few balloons and bowls of candies with spoons and some paper cups to put candies in them. The kids were so impressed !!!! My son was super happy with his « candy bar » and he become the coolest kid in school for the next few years. Of course, the parents were less thrilled after realizing that the effects of sugar rush can last way after the trip back home. The bags you see in my picture are what is left from our glorious candy bar. Those were full of tiny yellow bubble gums looking like gold nuggets and a huge hit at the candy bar. Today I use them as props but I always smile when thinking about my son’s 5th birthday.

Another amazing beach on the beautiful west coast of Harris. The mini rainbow was a bonus and not uncommon in these variable weather conditions .
On my back from the NCRC chase I was confronted with three options. First, I could just be satisfied with what I got and head home on I-80, putting me back into town at a reasonable time. Second, I could take US-30 following the Union Pacific and see if I could find any Westbounds to shoot. Third, was taking US-34 and following BNSF’s Ravenna Subdivision, and luckily, this is what I chose. Heading East I scouted out some spots, taking note of the elevators and rolling hills that were prevalent out here. One of the coolest spots I found was a few miles West of Bradshaw on a crummy gravel road, where you could see down the tracks for miles, and even spot Bradshaw’s elevator. Seeing five Westbounds heading for me, I bagged the first three at various locales. Earlier in the day, I caught wind that the PAMBAM was departing Lincoln with a fresh pair of ES44ACH units, and seeing that the train was fourth in line, decided to head back to this spot to bag it. Here’s the result. Honestly the entire drive I embarked on this day would’ve been worth it for this shot alone. Ever since BNSF began pumping out the new “Heavy” GEVOs, I’ve wanted nothing but to shoot them before they got dirty. And boy do they look good in the fields of central Nebraska. I left the spot with a huge grin on my face, already looking forward to uploading and editing the photo. On my way back I shot one more Westbound minutes before sunset, before getting on I-80 and beginning the hour fourty-five minute drive to Council Bluffs. Man what a day.

The nice harsh contrast and built-in radail of preset BB BNW 9 really did the job on this one!
'BB BNW streetpack presets' include 20 easy to use presets and 12 brushes/radial/grfilters presets
(Works in lightroom classic,cc and mobile, also in photoshop acr)
Only using presets does not always do the trick... but using the brushfilter, radials or others on top of it helps creating your own style and vision
