Leia: I got your message to meet here, what's up? Wow, that's really him, isn't it? You weren't kidding, he's really dead!
Luke: As a doornail. Listen, I'm about to light this baby up and I thought that maybe you might wanna say a few words or something? After all, he was your Dad too.
Leia: Hmmm....naaah. I'm gonna have to pass on that one.
Luke: Are you sure? I've got some weenies and marshmallows, I was thinking we could roast 'em while he burns. C'mon, it'll be fun! This is the last time we'll ever have the whole family together like this!
Leia: Err.. incredibly tempting as that may sound - yes, I'm sure. The Ewoks are throwing a big party over at the village in a few. Everybody from the fleet is gonna be there, and I already told Han I'd be his date. Plus, y'know we never really bonded, we didn't have that whole "Force thing" going on that you guys had. And I just don't have the same sort of issues with being adopted that you seem to have, I wasn't stuck on some third rate dirtball of a planet with a grumpy moisture farmer for a father figure. I was a Princess! My Dad was a Senator and later ruler of our whole planet, which was a beautiful, cultured planet. My childhood totally rocked!
Luke: Okay, okay, you don't have to rub it in! If you don't wanna come just say so.
Leia: Well, I didn't want to just come out and say it since this is his funeral and all, but frankly, I hated the guy. He always had a foul stench about him. Once when I was 15 my adopted father brought me to Coruscant to meet the Emperor and Vader totally hit on me, kept on going on about how much I reminded him of his old girlfriend. Which was creepy enough since I was only 15, but is even creepier now that I know he was my Dad. After that, I kept on getting weird calls on my communicator with all this heavy breathing - like we didn't know it was him! It was horrible, I kept on changing my number and he kept on getting it again through Imperial intelligence. After about 3 years of that, he finally gave up.
Luke: Wow! Girl, you are just always dodging that incest bullet, aren't you?
Leia: Yeah, tell me about it! Where was I? Oh yeah, then he captured my ship, tortured me, blew up my homeworld, destroyed my base, captured me again, tortured my boyfriend then froze him in a block of carbonite for a year. I ended up being captured and becoming a slave to a giant, slimy slug who was really, really horny while trying to undo that last one. So no, I didn't like him and I won't be coming to his damn funeral!
Luke: Gee, I never thought of it like that before. Well, run along. I'll see ya at the Ewok shindig. Save some dip for me!
I was sick as a dog when we stopped through Raleigh on the tour, but Mom was in town and they were all meeting for a burger and a beer at Bad Daddy's so I had to join them. So much love in one picture.

D-For turned two years old today and I forgot!!!!!!! I just sang him the Birthday song and he did get to play tetherball and swim today. I hope he forgives me!
