All these images have been created from actual flower photographs that I have taken over the years.
I thought that it may be fun to try and create a Floral Art Picture.
The actual flower photographs were put on PowerPoint and the backgrounds removed to take away any foliage detail. Each one was then recoloured and artistic effects added.
The image was then saved as a JPEG image.
All the images were then cropped and assembled together in Microsoft Publisher and the image was then saved again as a JPEG image.
I found the strangest orchid flowers ever at the Montreal Botanical Garden's greenhouse today. Thanks to Sonke Haas we now have a name for this strange flower: Bulbophyllum maximum. The plant is found all over tropical Africa growing as a lithophyte and as an epiphyte in open woodlands and riverine forests at elevations of 600 to 2100 meters.
The image above is a composite of 2 shots, with the original messy background removed. Each one of the small orange-red flowers is about 1/4in. long.

The photo not in focus low res but the color is reason why I uploaded it. I only removed the background and did one pass on it.
This one wasn't taken at the zoo, but on a lunchtime walk. This Ring Billed Gull resided near 16 Mile Creek in Oakville, Ontario.
Background removed in LU18.
background removed and texture added in PS. No idea what to call this image; if someone can identify the grass I will be very grateful. Image taken in Norfolk UK.
Not sure whether to make the background texture more hazy as it might fight with the grass? What do you think? I re-edited www.flickr.com/photos/choccupcake/52316520132/in/dateposted

My friend Devon putts with great power and precision. :)
Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world right now. As golf courses worldwide close down for lack of patronage, disc golf courses are popping up everywhere. While ball golf courses require clear-cut swaths of land, constant watering, fertilizing and maintenance, disc golf course are inexpensive to build, require minimal modifications to the environment, minimal maintenance and can be built almost anywhere. Where golf is often viewed as an elitist activity for it's expensive equipment, fancy golf clubs and wealthy, snooty patrons, disc golf equipment is inexpensive, the courses are by and large free, or nearly free to play, and as many will attest, is equally as fun and challenging as ball golf.

No chains were harmed in the making of this image. Though Devon has a very solid putt, it doesn't usually break chains. To create the broken chain illusion, I isolated the chains from the background, removed the original chains, and then rebuilt them from pieces of the original chains in this configuration. I used a little motion blur on the broken chains. I hand painted in the little swish, just to emphasize that the disc came from Devon's hand.

DIY (Do it yourself) Light Tent for Product photography ( VIEW IN LARGE)
Well you don't always need very expensive equipment to get things done. My
last uploaded picture of Perfume bottle was taken using this light box.
Its simple to make and use. Sunlight can also be used effectively. This
small light tent or box can also be used with a desktop lamp for more light
control.
Just brush your brains. :-)
