I have some friends down the street and this is their granddaughter Ava who comes in the summer to visit. They called the other night and wanted to know if it was OK that they walked down and she wanted to visit alittle with Maggie and of course us. She has a coat on cause that evening was in the low 60's. We all had sweatshirts on!

The Los Carneros AVA (American Viticultural Area) spans the last, low hills of the Mayacamas Mountains where Napa and Sonoma counties meet just north of San Pablo Bay. The area's close proximity to the Bay has made it an ideal location for Pinot noir and Chardonnay production with producers from international Champagne houses such as Moët et Chandon (Domaine Chandon California), Taittinger (Domaine Carneros), and Cava producers planting vineyards or sourcing grapes from the area.
Gone are the bears, elk, and cougar that wandered freely across the wooded hills that greeted the first Carneros settlers. Reminders of times past are to be found though, for those who search. Many a street name or landmark in Carneros carries a rich history indicative of the Mexican heritage, family or place after which it was named.

Sorry about the low quality I didn't bring my camera on the trip, I brought my computer instead. Silly me!!! I WON'T make that decision again. my mom's stupid point and shoot canon is TERRIBLE without using flash, but I HATE using flash, UGH!!!!!!! SIGH

I have been an Alpha Tribe fan for as long as I have been on Second Life.
I went back and googled Alpha Tribe Ava Jhamin and it brought back so many great memories.
Avant Garde is some I need to do not have to do. And from the start Alpha Tribe has been there. I am the stylist I am partially because of Alpha Auer's work. Thank You Alpha for thinking out of the box.

Ava got new eyes today. I think she really suits lighter, more subtle eyes but these ones aren't great quality. One of them has more defined swirls than the other and it's quite obvious in photos.
They were only cheap ones from ebay so I'm not really surprised, but can anyone tell me where to buy nice, good quality eyes. (Apart from Gumdrops.) What are LeekeWorld like?

I met Ava in a local café in the Lower East Side in Manhattan, where she lives. Because she has, in my opinion, a unique appearance that fits well in a gritty urban environment, I asked her for a photoshoot; she was more than willing to participate.
We used the Lower East Side and the Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg as the backdrop for our shoot.
This photo was taken under the elevated train tracks of the Marcy Ave subway station on Broadway.

Segundos después de esta foto, esa fue la conversación. Segundos antes, Ava solamente decía que podía hacerlo mejor. Y podía.
Siempre podía, excepto con el español. Se esforzaba por hablarlo, y lo hacía más con ternura que con acierto, pero yo no había dejado nunca de entenderla. Sin embargo, cuando tenía algo importante que decirme, pasaba al inglés. Y yo hacía lo mismo con el español. Supongo que hay personas con las que un sólo idioma no es suficiente para transmitirle todo lo que tienes.
El resto de la tarde pasó muy rápido. Como todos los momentos que quieres retener, nunca pasan lo suficientemente despacio. Recuerdo que era tarde y yo tenía que hacer 455km de vuelta a casa. Solo. Ella, sola, 5753.97. Pero quién los cuenta. Alargamos tontamente la despedida a base de chistes malos y promesas que no íbamos a cumplir. Cuando la fila de coches atascados por el mío en doble fila empezó a pitar, la besé y le dije adiós.
Me extrañó que no me mirase cuando se marchaba. Arrastraba a duras penas una maleta más grande que ella. Casi tan grande como el sentimiento frío que recorría mi espalda. No entendía por qué no se giraba, por qué me negaba una última sonrisa. Lo entendí mientras, entre sollozos y sin mirar atrás, me gritaba “Please, don’t forget me”.
