Horologe monumentale de 47m de haut . L'automate, placé à côté de la grosse cloche, sur un piédestal, adossé contre la face sud du campanile, fait presque 2,6 m. Sculpté dans le bois, puis recouvert de zinc, il porte un costume qui a varié selon les époques et les régimes : lancier polonais sous le Premier empire, troubadour sous la Restauration, il a été revêtu, voici plus d'un siècle, de l'uniforme des Volontaires de 1792, afin de rappeler le rôle de Romans dans les prémices de la Révolution Française.
Monumental clock, 47m high. The automaton, placed next to the large bell on a pedestal against the south face of the bell tower, is almost 2.6m tall. Sculpted in wood and then covered in zinc, it wears a costume that has varied according to the eras and regimes: a Polish lancer under the First Empire, a troubadour under the Restoration, and more than a century ago, it was dressed in the uniform of the Volunteers of 1792, to recall the role of Romans in the early stages of the French Revolution.
Im Regelfall waren die mit automatischer Kupplung ausgestatteten Maschinen der Baureihe 151 in Doppeltraktion vor schweren Erz- und Kohlezügen eingesetzt. Eher selten konnte man sie hingegen abseits ihrer regulären Einsatzgebiete einzeln vor leichteren Güterzügen beobachten. Am 31.10.2012 gelang unter optimalen Wetterbedingungen zwischen Haunetal-Neukirchen und Burghaun die Aufnahme von 151 165 mit einem gemischten Frachtenzug auf der Fahrt gen Süden.
