HWW!! Austin, Texas
No peaking in the windows..;) I know I've posted this before but this is a new pic..;) I took this one from the parking garage where photographers aren't welcome anymore.
..HBM!!!
Another one from that park. It was such a pretty setting that I couldn't not take a bunch of shots of it.
Here in open Texas, the second wave is upon us and it's effecting the 18 to 29 year old group. So, now it serious, everyone has to wear a mask. Interestingly, it it was only effecting the seniors, no big deal..lol..Guess we were the expendable ones
I posted a shot like this one on slider Sunday, but I just really like the point of view on this one so I'm posting it as well.
Today was remember Pearl Harbor day. I had almost forgotten it. On December 7, 1941 over 2200 military personal lost there lives in combat. It's really something we should remember.
A panoramic view of Austin's spread out skyline as seen from boardwalk trail, a 7,250 foot promenade that runs along the south side of Lady Bird Lake, a reservoir of the Colorado River. This view looking to the northwest shows the skyline from I-35 to the residential high-rises north of the Lamar St. Bridge, a distance of about 1.6 miles (2.6 km).
Since the beginning of the 2000s, Austin has been undergoing a skyscraper boom, which includes recent construction on new office, hotel and residential buildings. Downtown's buildings are somewhat spread out, partly due to a set of zoning restrictions that preserve the view of the Texas State Capitol from various locations around Austin, known as the Capitol View Corridors.
With a population of just over one million residents, Austin is the 10th largest city in the United States. The Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Area, now with a population of 2.3M, also is the fastest growing large metropolitan area in the country having added more than 579,000 residents since 2010.
Another slide restoration, this time from August 1959.
The two Austin A30s and the motorcycles seem to be together as a group and the GB badges on the cars lead me to think this was taken abroad.

This thing that we call life can take us on some weird journey's. Some days good, some days like today, not so good. I am feeling a bit lost at the moment and I can't yet say why but I will open up and let you know when I next post an image.
