Austin Street in Stamford. This is an attractive and narrow street, thankfully rarely with any cars parked on it (they'd likely block it).
Some tell-tale signs of a a scratched and grubby lens with the contrast dropping off in the distance. I did edit a version of this to be darker and more contrast-y but decided just to post the as-scanned one - you get what you're given with film. :-)

The 307-foot-tall Main Building at the University of Texas at Austin rises into the cloudy Texas sky.
Trains started arriving in Austin in 1871. These warehouses on E. 4th St. are the only surviving buildings from the city's first rail yard. Black and white, bnw, b&w, b/w, bw, monochrome, grayscale.
Years ago when people talked about Austin they would quickly mention the music. But that's just the beginning of what they're saying these days. Austin is also home to a wonderful ballet, world-class museums, one-of-a-kind shopping and beautiful outdoor spaces.

An Art Deco automotive tour de force which sadly didn’t convert to stellar sales. It was also hampered by a lack of factory rustproofing…not a good thing in the UK market.
The drive across the southern part of Nevada on US 50 is humorously dubbed “The Loneliest Highway in America” and the residents of the small towns along the way (and there are not many of them) make the most of that. It is a wonderful trip with lots of interesting things to stop and see if you happen to be a curious type of person with a camera. ;-)
This scene is from the Austin Historical Museum, which I enjoyed very much. Austin, Nevada was a frontier mining town, as well as ranching country, and in many ways it gives the appearance that almost nothing has changed for 120 years. The displays in the small museum depict everyday life in those earlier times.

Austin Western RR's Job 112 passes through the small community of McDade on its westbound return trip to Manor. AWRR has quite a colorful roster, evidenced by 3 different EMDs all in different paint schemes in charge of this day's turn to Giddings and back.
