We have a guest with us for the weekend. Kohl is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd. He is available for adoption through Aussie Rescue & Placement Helpline - Texas. His normal foster family went out of town for the weekend, so he is staying with us.

He has a LOT of energy, but has great house manners and is a very fast learner.

Just a gentle reminder to all the folk back home about the cricket. Everywhere I go when asked where I come from and I say Australia (cept whilst in India I say New Zealand) The young men recite all of our cricketers. Names from history I never knew existed. So here's to them - You are remembered well in this part of the world.

A little story:

So here I am drinking coffee (I don't know why I do this to myself as it makes me break out into a sweat - But I'm not a quitter) so I'm 5 floors up and looking down out of an open window onto the traffic. There is a traffic cop standing in the middle of a small clearing and he is surrounded by angry drivers wanting to get on with it - But they can't. It's one way and for whatever reason the cars and rickshaws have made it 5 ways and no one is moving. I hear yelling, bells, horns and the calling to prayer from the Mosque. The traffic cop is brandishing a stick at the rickshaw drivers as he loses his cool. I sit back and light a cigarette and think to myself - That's one job to scratch off my list.

Aussie World is the Sunshine Coast's answer to a theme park. It cannot possibly compete with the ones on the Gold Coast: Warner Brothers' Movie World, Dreamworld, Seaworld, Waterworld, and Wet'n'Wild. They do try, however, and this ride (the Redback) is their latest attraction.

Sunny was still too theme-parked-out from his recent visit to Disneyland in Hong Kong, so we didn't go in.
