Cool to see the riders arrive and park their colourful, gleaming bikes on Main Street, Fort Macleod, a southern Alberta community which has been transformed into a picturesque mid-western American town in Oklahoma as the cast and crew of Ghostbusters 2020 film the latest instalment of the franchise.
While the majority of filming will take place in Calgary, a single action scene will be shot in the small, historic town of Fort Macleod. Uhrik said that the variety of locations in and around Fort Macleod are what make it an appealing destination for filmmakers.
“Directors and production designers like Fort Macleod for its look, and specifically the main street,” Uhrik said. “That block of buildings, that has been maintained… gives a look that is timeless, in a sense [...] and the width of the street works for cameras, [...].” Danica Ferris GlobalNews.ca Aug2, 2019 12:16am

When I did my first silhouette self-portrait 4 months ago the topic was simplicity. I couldn't resist doing one this time too.

I didn't go with traditional sweet things because I was not a lace and bows kind of girl. I was more likely to have leaves in my hair than ribbons. I had a closet full of lovely dresses that went to waste because I only wore pants. I played baseball and football with the boys and came home covered in dirt and bruises. I collected tadpoles, built forts in the woods and delighted in finding things like maggot filled squirrels. My little girl is a lot like me and loves to run free. She is very lucky to have a few girlfriends that like to be outdoors, explore and play in the dirt too.

On a bike ride a garden about half the size of a football field grabbed my attention and I stopped and asked if I could doing some shooting. "Yes," I was told and spent nearly two hours talking with the owner and enjoying some really great colorful flowers. I'm seeing already the "Warm Days and Sunflowers" slowly becoming just another memory of the Summer of 2014.
Thanks to the wonderful program Ribbet, I can indulge my creative leanings towards painting without having to go out and buy all the painting supplies. A backroads trippin photo from yesterday.
