I thought I’d give Attila another visual treatment along with a tighter crop.
I’m less than impressed with the latest app update, it has huge bugs…tags no longer can have caps or spaces, you can’t add to groups other than by going to each group and Add Photo. This all needs addressing otherwise I’ll not be a happy bunny.
There also seems to be less interaction from contacts, maybe because the feed is so slow and you have to look at each image one by one.
Using the web browser is still OK, with groups appearing in the usual, searchable list
Gray-hooded Attila is a species in the large Tyrant Flycatchers family. It belongs to a genus with seven members, whose name alludes to their large size and pugnacious demeanour. I had earlier seen Bright-rumped Attila (which has the banding code BRAT), but had never before seen a Gray-hooded Attila. The common name is from the head colour; however the scientific name references the bright rufous on the back, wings, and tail — which to my mind is its more outstanding aspect. This individual was seen in Tres Picos State Park, Rio Janeiro State, Brazil. This is a Brazilian endemic and was a lifer for me on my 2024 trip.

Un día normal para la Attila cinnamomeus.
Estaba de caminata con un amigo y excelente guía @caquetaexotic por los alrededores de Florencia Caquetá, cuando nos encontramos con una familia de Attila que se encontraba en el proceso de crianza de pichones, y esta rana fue el aperitivo de la mañana.
Impresionante lo que es el Caquetá, en plena ciudad viendo tanta biodiversidad.
