For some reason, this reminds me of an AT-AT from The Empire Strikes Back. This is along the walking path at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington, site of the 2015 US Open.

Listening to The Battle of Hoth (when the first AT-AT appears) from Empire Strikes Back
From my final photowalk through Galataport. Security guards there told me photography with 'pro' cameras was verboten. I used to get shooed away from the contruction site when they were building the thing as well, so the tradition continues. Anyway, yesterday was a national holiday here, so flags went up everywhere including that weird building there that looks like it's made with shipping containers. I got the part with the occluded crescent in another frame, but that has tiny distractions in it that I didn't notice at shoting time. This one has no curves but is otherwise 'clean' as shot.

Many years after the fall of the Empire, people still makes a living taking advantage of old machinery and wreckage, like this ATAT abandoned in the desert.

Spectacol văzut de toată lumea și înțeles de foarte puțini. Atât de puțini încât cifra 2 e mai mult decât suficientă. Un fel de sistem binar-semantic. Probabil pentru că sentimentele se numără din doi în doi. Sub soare. Sub ploi...

Dialogue amongst the grains of sand at the edge of the sea. A random and wonderful sea at the same time. Like a kiss of the insatiable wave on the thirsty shore. A spectacle seen by everyone and understood by very few. So few that the figure 2 is more than enough. A kind of binary-semantic system. Probably because the feelings shall be counted every two. Under the sun. Under the rain...

Little known fact: the Lucasfilm crew made a blunder in Norway back in the winter of 1979. As we all know, they were doing a fine job shooting their movie but at the same time they were a little too careless with everything they had shipped to the location. Snowspeeders, beasts of the ice planet and even the big AT-AT walkers were frequently left unguarded. And sure enough, eventually one of these giants escaped the area during a snowstorm.
Now, 37 years later, we have a feral AT-AT walker loose up here in the north. It's never been caught, it's a master of disguise. Luckily, this thing is not dangerous but it makes a big mess stepping on parked cars and such.

The battle damaged ATAT is being heavily repaired on a imperial facility. Its going to be a long day of work with lots of technicians and stormies coming and going.
Apropos, I like the new stormtroopers better!

A battle-damaged AT-AT is taken back to retrieval point, escorted by an elite squad of troopers. This awesome gift comes from my daughter Raquel.... I am so happy to finally have such a nice addition to my collection! :)
Luke approaches one of the attacking Blizzard AT-ATs with a grappling hook and his saber on his hand. He has a plan!
Seeing this beauty is a rare, as I've been trying to hunt these daily. But on late autumn I've finally manage to find one with my camera on the shoulder.

This is an addition to a series titled as Architecture of Galactic Empre: You remember those little chicken walkers a few months back? That's the first one for the series. Playing with the lighting and fog that's coming from a near swamp or lake was a memorable session. And I've just want to let you know, that this is all in-camera, except the color tone.
All of a sudden, I saw this lonely AT-AT coming from a distance. I had a plenty of time to set-up my gear as it was moving so slowly. I may have to assume, it was carrying some heavy transports from a glacier to another. Something Darth has ordered to do, it has to be.
Anyway, I'm super happy to get these in front of the lens here on Hoth, as I ain't seen these many times here in my stream! :D
