When I finally got around to cataloging my Atari 2600 cartridges, I stacked them all up. The resulting pile was 5 carts across by 3 carts deep by 18 carts tall. The collection continues to grow.

Undoubtedly, Atari consoles marked the decades of the 70's and 80's. Entering a cartridge and tapeworms and hundreds of games. Are we just the PONG? It was created their Atari, and that led to the development of the first game.

I just played it (I was never really into boxing games) and it works fine (well it's kinda a lame game, but if you want it here it is) the part that is sposed to protect the chip from dust is not there (fyi)
I had one of these following my BBC Micro - actually I think I had an 1040ST.
I wish I had kept the BBC but the Atari had several more modern bits.
- A 3 1/2 inch rigid microfloppy drive (as later used in the Apple Mac)
- A graphic UI, Digital Research GEM
- more memory
- A monitor was included
- Built in MIDI interface (I got a Keyboard to connect to this but my musical abilities have always been non existent)
Sketch of how I use to get many of my Atari 2600 games as a kid The step dad got chips from work (a large defense contractor) and would bring the chip home to be inserted into a homemade (by him or someone at work) cartridge board. Once the chip was in the slot, the latch would be flipped up to hold it in place, the cartridge would be inserted into the console and boom, fun times.
