Recently saw a print ad for the Nintendo Entertainment System version of this game, so had to pull out my complete package of the Atari Lynx version.
So here's today's funny story... I decided to play some Atari 5200 today, something I haven't done in a decade or so. And for the life of me I couldn't find the power supply. Vaguely I remember once upon a time coming across a brick on a rope power supply with an Atari fuji logo on top of it, and didn't know what it was so I gave it to charity. Oh yeah, that was stupid. And I want to play today.
So rather than pay $20 on eBay for another, I decided to cobble together one for $2 from thrift store parts. A visit to one Goodwill produced a working power supply of close to the right voltage and amperage, a visit to another found a power supply to an Epilady hair remover that had the right size plug. A few minutes of soldering and a bit of heatshrink tubing, and I've got a working replacement with an extremely long cord.
And this is also where I discover I have two copies of DigDug for some reason. And that my Space Invaders cartridge may be wonked, but I'll clean it up and see if it gets past the logo screen. The two white lines on the screenshot are a reflection of my office window.
Never mind the labelling, it was originally a Sega Master System peripheral. This is a conversion unit, since Atari did not provide a light gun intended for its game system games that required a light gun. (Yes, there was a light gun marketed for the Atari 800XL computer which works, but in many people's opinions not as well as the retrofit Sega gun.) I don't have Sentinal for the 2600, but the 7800 titles that use one -- Barnyard Blaster, Meltdown -- work very nicely with it.
The experts say that no, a Nintendo 'Duck Hunt' light gun can't be retrofit for the Atari -- something about digital verses analog, I don't remember.
My age-old Atari! Funny how at the end of the 1980's these machines were already so advanced, so much more useful than any PC of that time. Today I found on this one old highschool papers and even early college papers.

Space Invaders -- we're being attacked ny lizards? Like the cover art of Imagic's "Demon Attack"?
DigDug -- probably more pumper-dude fatalities due to the noncentering joystick.

Summer Games (by Epyx) -- the Olympics for your ProLine joystick.
Atari 2600:
Dodge 'Em -- because I never owned it back in the day, I mighta played it at someone's house once.
Solaris -- supposed to have the best graphics ever.
E.T. -- wait, what? Two million copies crushed in the desert and I had to have one? Well, yeah. I liked the game, and my sister played the hell out of it. For the record, I still don't own Combat or Pac-Man. (I do have Pac-Kong though!)
Taller de Atari Punk Console

El taller consta de 2 sesiones de 3 horas cada una a partir del domingo 9 de mayo a las 16:00 Hrs.
Valor: $20.000. El valor del taller incluye materiales (resistencias, chips, potenciometros, condensadores), pero importante deben llevar Cautin o Soldador, Estaño, pasta de soldar, alicates y destornilladores.
La Consola Atari Punk (en inglés Atari Punk Console) es un circuito productor de ruidos que es relativamente sencillo y fácil de fabricar. Tiene dos controles, uno para la frecuencia del oscilador y otro para controlar la longitud del pulso. Los controles son usualmente potenciómetros pero puede ser controlado con luz, temperatura, presión, etc. simplemente reemplazando los potenciómetros con el sensor adecuado. (Por ejemplo, una resistencia fotosensible).
El circuito se puede adaptar fácilmente y puede ser configurado de varias maneras y en distintas cajas, de esta forma cada alumno podrá personalizar su consola.
En el taller, que consta de 2 módulos, se abordaran algunos de los fundamentos de la electrónica musical casera (DIY - Hazlo Tu Mismo) y se procederá a armar, con materiales proporcionados por el taller, un Atari Punk Console. Para finalizar se realizará una sesión de improvisación guiada, entre los participantes del taller.
