This unique 18th century flour mill stands on the "Isle of Wedmore", a ridge giving commanding views of Cheddar Gorge, the Somerset Levels and Brent Knoll. A windmill is mentioned on this site as far back as 1317. Although it last worked in 1927, the mill has been carefully restored.
Ashton windmill is a Tower mill in Chapel Allerton, Somerset, England. Its tower is over 7.5 metres (25 ft) high with stone walls that are 60 cm (2.0 ft) thick. The sails are 13 m (43 ft) across and used to be covered with canvas. It was modernised in 1900.

I didn't plan this, but it seems appropriate to show a church on Easter morning. The little Ashton United Church is where we picked up our Easter pies yesterday. They bake pies to fundraise for charities several time a year: like Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I usually get apple, but it was lemon meringue and coconut cream, this time.

Went to Ashton Park in West Kirby today. I didnt know about this place but it is a wonderful park and is on the Wirral Way walk...
BNSF L-TWI664, the Wolsey Turn, begins its southbound Sunday trip down the Aberdeen Sub passing through the town of Ashton, South Dakota and its decrepit grain elevator. Leading is #3022, an ex-CB&Q GP40 rebuilt by M-K and still in whiteface BN paint.

The final image of the wooded copse near Eshton is on the way back from Malham at midday. I decided on a pano to show just how isolated this group of trees is (about 120 degrees wide). The weather continued to provide some interest in the sky.

Reflection of old and new in the Ashton Canal, this canal connects with the Huddersfield Narrow Canal in Ashton-Under-Lyne and continues the South Pennine Ring down into Manchester at Castlefields basin.

The Ashton House is a two-story Georgian home with an open space concept in the main living area. The master bedroom is located on the first floor and features a fireplace and access to the large back porch. There are a total of 4 bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor which can also be used as an office or den. There is a cute bonus room on the second floor with a dormer window. This space could also be used as a smaller bedroom, maybe a nursery.
The home includes the Home Control system with which you can control security, lock doors and change the textures throughout the home. Each room has an option of 6 color choices. The brick exterior has 4 color options and the floors have 3 color choices.
