Asahi Pentax Takumar 200mm f/3.5 on Zenit E with Fomapan 100 Classic. Semi-stand with Rodinal, 1:100, for 70 mins at 20º C. Negative scanned on Epson Perfection V500.
A mix of the AP, S and K. The AP was first introduced in 1957.
If the Nikon F (previous post) was the camera that had a major impact on the world of professional photographers, then the Pentax AP, followed later by the the Spotmatic, helped changed the world for serious amateur photographers.

Had to get this repaired as the meter wasn't working. Eric Hendrickson, the Pentax repair wiz, is the go-to guy for all matters Pentax in the USA.
This Electro Spotmatic is kind of cool - using SMC or S-M-C lenses there's open aperture metering and aperture priority exposure automation. It has a hot shoe. Oh and the coolest thing, if you move the shutter dial to the second auto, two little curtains slide across the view finder!

That S is a rare engraving. The Asahi Pentax S camera was only made for a around one year from 1958, with a small production run.

I decided to produce a YouTube video on "The most beautiful cameras ever made" and needed some beauty shots of the cameras I own. This proved to be the hardest part of the project. I ended up going for this style and background.
