Thankfully, this year I was given permission to photograph in the snowdrop meadow near me.

Thank you for your views, encouraging comments and awards.
We had sunshine on Wednesday for the first time in many days, and it ended with a beautiful sunset as well. Sunset shots are cliche, but this one also seemed like a natural for this week's Smile On Saturdays theme: Nature Is An Artist.
The view here shows Kent Lake in Michigan's Kensington Metropark. Though parts of the lake were covered with a thin coat of ice, other parts were clear, allowing for mirror-like reflections.

"Artistry"
by Jacob Lee
I let every thought
Thread a weft of yarn
Weaving through the warps
A tapestry of us
If I make my arms, the home you seek
If I sway my brush, would I capture thee?
If I hang your scars, in a gallery
As a work of artistry
May I clear your slate and wipe your conscience
Lay it on another shelf
I'll be anything you ever ask
I'll take your memories upon myself
If you keep my thoughts and thieve my wisdom
I will find another shell
I don't ever want to be the selfish reason
You don't ever find yourself
I felt every though
Claw the strands apart
Weaving into knots
A travesty of us
If I stay my arms, and I pull your sleeve
If I snap my brush, would you trust in me?
If I trace your scars, with the broken piece
As a work of artistry
May I clear your slate and wipe your conscience
Lay it on another shelf
I'll be anything you ever ask
I'll take your memories upon myself
If you keep my thoughts and thieve my wisdom
I will find another shell
I don't ever want to be the selfish reason
You don't ever find yourself
Watching the needle thread through every pore
She told me shading made everything more
Beautiful but I don't see it at all
I'm more deranged than before
Standing in paints as it pools on the ground
Colours of empathy blending with doubt
Witnessing everything melting around
Until I drown
May I clear your slate and wipe your conscience
Lay it on another shelf
I'll be anything you ever ask
I'll take your memories upon myself
If you keep my thoughts and thieve my wisdom
I will find another shell
I don't ever want to be the selfish reason
You don't ever find yourself
May I clear your slate and wipe your conscience
Lay it on another shelf
I'll be anything you ever ask
I'll take your memories upon myself
If you keep my thoughts and thieve my wisdom
I will find another shell
I don't ever want to be the selfish reason
You don't ever find yourself

for a glamorous weekend!
Jackson Pollock might have been proud of what a turbulent conflictive sea produced with a small heart in the middle.
Luck.
I was out of petrol (gas), and the garage i was relying on. was closed when I got there, Touch and go whether I could get to the next one, several miles away.
Well, I did make it, and took this unexpected route home, when i burst on this view, glowing in the falling sun,

This shot of amazing topography was taken in Arches National Park, in the Fiery Furnace area. There are ranger-lead tours of this area that are offered each day, although due to COVID, the tours were not being conducted at time of my visit.
A mesmerizing capture of a layered swirling sea of crisp blue hues spotted in the frigid waters of Greenland.
I simply love flower photography, and at this time of year with everything starting to bloom there is plenty to keep me occupied.
Some look colorful as they are sunlit :)
As far as I know, it's only starlings that dance like this !

Traditional fly fishing is still the preferred method of snagging a trout in the Ozarks. . .an elaborate series of casts to release line . . .many of the anglers we spoke with would catch and release their speckled brown or rainbow trout . .
Graffiti is not just a city cultural phenomenon. Wanted or not, bridges located over rivers in the middle of vast rural fields become the canvas for someone's artistry.
Taken with my trusty iPhone (my camera battery inexplicably died, which wasn’t at all frustrating 😉) under the plaza bridge in a rare moment of calm (no pedestrians or cyclists) during a lunch time walk downtown. I think this might be my favourite Ottawa bridge... the architecture and design never fails to amaze me 😊

Plaza bridge
The Plaza Bridge in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is an automotive and pedestrian bridge that crosses the Rideau Canal just south of the Ottawa locks. It joins Wellington Street and Elgin Street in the Downtown core to the west with Rideau Street to the east. The Chateau Laurier abuts the bridge at the east end, while Parliament Hill is just beyond the west end. It is the northernmost bridge over the canal, just north of the Mackenzie King Bridge.
The bridge is constructed of three masonry spans. The western span is over a roadway along the western bank of the Canal. The central span is over the Canal. The eastern span is over a former railway tunnel running along the east bank of the Canal.

The beginnings of Putna Sihstria ascends into history until the middle of the 15th century. In the second half of the 18th century, Sihastria Putna experienced a special flowering during the abbot Silas (1753-1781), when a stone church is built, dedicated to the Great West Office, consecrated in 1758. After the occupation of northern Moldova by the Habsburg Empire (1775), the Sihastria of Putna would be abolished. On April 24, 1990, the reconstruction of the monastery began. Then the yellow and beautiful smellings of the three pisses were discovered among the rubbles: Silas, Nathan and Paisios.
